The people who want to play The Outer Worlds on the go won’t have to wait for much longer, as the game will be coming to the Nintendo Switch in March. The Outer Worlds is a critically acclaimed action RPG from the creators of the original Fallout games. The player wakes up on a strange interstellar colony after spending a century in cryosleep and they must go on a galaxy-hopping adventure to oppose (or join) the corporations that are controlling the destiny of the human race....

The term “Walking Simulator” often feels derogatory, but there’s no arguing that there have been at least a few worthwhile titles released in the last few years which fall under that category. From the brainy wit of The Stanley Parable to the agonizing emotion of Firewatch, these games have proven that masterpieces can be made with little more than the medium’s bare essentials. Yet, with that in mind, while The Park certainly does its best to elicit a response from its players, its short runtime and rigid, on-rails feel make it a tough title to recommend on the Switch....

The Quiet Man will launch on PlayStation 4 and PC on November 1, Square Enix has announced. Developed by Human Head Studios, The Quiet Man has caught a lot of attention for its combination of live-action footage and CGI, something which has attracted a few raised eyebrows considering it’s been done before in the past with mixed results. Unknown Worlds Subnautica is one of those early access games that has been in testing for ages. The game first appeared back in 2014 and it promised an underwater take on the survival genre. The developers have now finally set a release date for v1.0 which will release on 23 January. A special launch livestream will also be held on launch day coming live from the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The event will take place on the Subnautica Twitch channel and it will also appear on Youtube....

Summer Game Fest officially returns for its second year on June 10, 2021. Now that we’re less than a month away, host Geoff Keighley has teased the gaming event’s 34 partners. The virtual event will feature game announcements and news on upcoming releases, as well as a live performance from Weezer. The best part? Gaming fans can stream the event free of charge. Keighley, well-known host of the annual Game Awards, started Summer Game Fest last year when the Entertainment Software Association canceled E3 due to COVID-19....

In its first Community Update, Techland has revealed changes coming to Dying Light 2 Stay Human. So far the improvements are mainly visual. A new Colour Grading option has been added that allows players to change to a “gritty” look similar to the 2019 gameplay presentations. Other visual improvements include new screen space ambient occlusion implementation, image clarity improvements including temporal anti-aliasing and texture filtering, and the ability to toggle Chromatic Aberration....
