With park titles such as The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Marvel Superhero Island, it was only fitting for Universal Studio’s Chairman and CEO (Tom Williams) to announce the opening of another land dedicated to a beloved family franchise; Super Nintendo World! While no North American timeline has been announced, the newest installment is set to launch in Tokyo, Japan as early as Spring 2020....

Both were announced last night during publisher Nacon’s latest showcase, with RoboCop: Rogue City coming from Teyon, the developer behind the very wonky Terminator: Resistance. The Division 2, the online action-RPG from Massive Entertainment, has just received its first full expansion. While three smaller DLC missions have already been added to the game, Warlords of New York brings major changes to almost every aspect of The Division 2’s gameplay. As well as a lengthy story campaign featuring a group of rogue First Wave Division Agents and a lethal biological weapon, the DLC also adds new items, gear, skills and level progression....

Team 17 has sent word that a free update has gone live for jaunty prison break sandbox The Escapists 2, adding a new Map Editor to the game. Access to Steam is now blocked in all of Malaysia because of a game called Fight of Gods, where Jesus and Buddha smack each other around. No doubt many would be upset by the content of the early access fighting game, but few to the extent that Valve’s platform would be blocked in a whole country. The man who made Spider-Man 2’s web-swinging mechanic is releasing a new game on PS4 next week. Jamie Fristrom, who prototyped Spider-Man 2’s “ground-breaking swinging mechanic”, claims that his new game, Energy Hook, is “the best game [he’s] ever made”, and sees players swinging, running and boosting their way through levels in an “extreme sport of the future”. “You swing from a grapple beam, run on walls, jump and boost with your jetpack, and do flips and poses midair, all to earn style points,” Fristrom says, explaining Energy Hook to PlayStation Blog....
