Nintendo has released a new trailer giving an overview of what to expect in next month’s release of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD for the Nintendo Switch. It’s a handy introduction for those who missed it on the Wii the first time around back in 2011. Acting as a sort-of prequel, Skyward Sword kicks off the Zelda timeline and details the origins of Hyrule & the Master Sword. Playing as series hero Link, you’ll be searching for childhood friend Zelda from above the clouds and across the Surface world below....

BioWare’s Mike Gamble has revealed that the Mass Effect franchise definitely has a future, although right now the studio is knee-deep in all things Anthem. Speaking during an interview with Eurogamer, Gamble assured fans of the alien-shagging-universe-saving franchise needn’t worry, as it’s ’not dead.’ The same goes for Dragon Age too, which actively has ‘a team working’ on the next chapter in the series. Gamble also touched base on last year’s critically polarizing Mass Effect: Andromeda, saying he’s ‘proud of the team behind’ the game, while admitting that BioWare learned a lot in regards to ‘focus, polish, visual fidelity....

Every few years the Call of Duty series hits a new technical milestone - a definable moment where developers like Infinity Ward make a clear break from what came before. The 2019 Modern Warfare reboot was exactly that, its IW8 engine delivering an enormous boost in geometry, a new lighting model, updated physics, materials and a streaming system for large-scale maps. It was a breakthrough for the series, iterated on in last year’s Vanguard and improved once again for the new Modern Warfare 2....

Rocket League will be getting a major new feature in just a few days: Rocket Pass. This is a new time-limited progression system that encourages you to keep playing in order to advance to higher tiers. Doing so will nab you increasingly better rewards. There will be a Free tier along with a Premium one that is accessed through a purchase (price has not yet been announced). Psyonix expects that it will take players an average of about 100 hours to advance through all of the tiers—definitely quite a marathon!...

The next Bioshock game seems to be heading in an open world direction, featuring “character driven stories” with primary and side missions, if information found in recent job postings from studio Cloud Chamber is anything to go by. The details came to light overnight as the studio announced it was hiring for some new positions over in its Montreal location for a few roles on the game, including a Senior Writer....

New information has just been revealed about Overwatch’s next Overwatch League skin, which will commemorate Sinatraa of the San Francisco Shock receiving this season’s MVP award. On a Twitch stream in which Sinatraa, Super, and other members of the SF Shock answered questions from fans, Sinatraa revealed that his commemorative skin will be for Zarya. Before this reveal, there was some speculation from fans as to which hero Sinatraa would choose for his MVP skin, which most assumed would be a new tradition following the addition of an Octopus-themed Zenyatta skin honoring the previous MVP Jjonak earlier this year....
