Apple engineer Walter Huang died in March 2018 when his Tesla Model X SUV swerved into a concrete freeway divider in Mountain View, California, while on Autopilot. In a hearing held today by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), Chairman Robert Sumwalt said the driver was likely distracted by playing a video game on his smartphone, according to reporting by the Associated Press. The NTSB hearing said the cause of the car veering out of control was likely a combination of “faded lane lines, bright sunshine…, and a closer-than-normal vehicle in the lane ahead....

Remember a few weeks ago when we all found out that a game where you date cats was imminently going to exist? Well now that game, Purrfect Date, has an actual release date for December 13. In Purrfect Date, ‘the player adopts the role of several freshly employed research assistants on an island almost entirely populated by cats, on a mission to uncover the location’s shady history.’ Presumably these research assistants are also looking for love, or at least someone to gradually take up more and more of the sofa every time you accidentally move a fraction of an inch over....

Supergirl‘s Carl Lumbly will be part of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, the upcoming superhero series slated to premiere on Disney+ in August. According to Deadline, Lumbly has joined stars Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan on the production of the currently-filmed show, though we do not yet know which role he might be playing. Deadline suggested the theory that Lumbly could appear on screen as Isaiah Bradley, who was introduced in the 2003 limited series run Truth: Red, White, & Black....

Just yesterday, The Verge posted an interview with Steam Deck designers Pierre-Loup Griffais and Lawrence Yang. In it, they answer a variety of questions on Valve’s future plans with the Steam Deck, which has seen quite a bit of success so far. One of those questions had to do with a potential upgraded version of the handheld, which Griffais and Yang confirmed would come later down the line. However, they suggest that this version would likely not implement any improvements to performance....

Psychological funfair horror The Park is heading to PS4 and Xbox One in Q1 2016, Funcom has announced. The game first launched on PC last month where it achieved mostly positive reviews on Steam. Funcom describes the game as a “psychological horror story set in a unique and unusual setting”. “Encouraged by the positive reactions we have received on the Windows PC version, we are very excited about bringing [The Park] to consoles,” said Funcom CEO Rui Casais....
