Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was officially revealed in June with a trailer that introduced us to some new Task Force 141 characters with Colonel Alejandro Vargas and some familiar faces, such as Captain Price. Nintendo announced that Obsidian Entertainment’s The Outer Worlds will come to the Nintendo Switch on June 5. “Obsidian’s managed to create a space opera with conscious themes and consequences, and no one clipped through the floor even once,” I marvelled when I reviewed the game last year. On a hot day in late June, an unassuming trailer home occupies a large, empty parking lot in Brooklyn’s Greenpoint neighborhood. Sega is eyeing a big-screen outing for its classic side-scrolling beat ’em up series Streets of Rage, Deadline has reported. A script for the film adaptation has been written by Derek Kolstad, creator and lead writer for the hugely-lucrative John Wick franchise. Sega is reportedly keen to replicate the film success of its Sonic the Hedgehog series, and has tapped the same production company, dj2 Entertainment, to now work on Streets of Rage too....

The Dragon Ball Z franchise will be continuing on the success of Dragon Ball Fighter Z with another new game. According to V-Jump – a Japanese manga magazine that focuses on manga-based video games, in addition to new manga – Bandai Namco and game developer, Dimps, are working on a new Dragon Ball Z game called, Super Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission. Reportedly in development for the Nintendo Switch, Super Dragon Ball Heroes: World is described as a tabletop, card-battling action-adventure game, with over 1,160 cards available for building players’ decks....

Universal Studios Hollywood has announced an opening date for the first US version of the previously Japan exclusive Super Nintendo World theme park. The park was first announced as coming Stateside earlier this year, and will feature a host of Nintendo themed rides and more, including a Mario Kart themed ride. As per the official announcement – accompanied by the video below – the Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood will open to the public from February 17, 2023....

Back when Nintendo released newer portable models of the Nintendo Switch in September 2019, the new consoles came in three different colors: yellow, gray, and turquoise. Now, the company has expanded by introducing a new color called coral, and it is available for preorder right now. Yesterday’s Thunderful World Showcase was filled with new announcements and information on upcoming games, with The Gunk and its release date making the biggest splash. According to the developer, players will be able to explore The Gunk’s alien world, and attempt to save a forgotten planet, next month. The Gunk will be releasing on December 16 and will be available on launch day via Xbox Game Pass for PC.
