The Bradwell Conspiracy is set in the year 2026. Technology company Bradwell Electronics is holding a Summer Solstice event to celebrate the launch of their ‘Clean Water Initiative,’ which looks set to change the world. As the event gets underway, disaster strikes and the building is left in ruins. While the vast majority of the occupants are safely and successfully evacuated, you are left trapped inside. As you come round and begin to explore the area, you come across Amber, who appears to be the only other person still inside the ruined shell....

Elden Ring’s Hidetaka Miyazaki has said that the challenge of From Software’s game is “not something [the studio is] willing to abandon”, even though he himself “dies a lot” in games. “We are always looking to improve, but, in our games specifically, hardship is what gives meaning to the experience,” Miyazaki told the New Yorker. “So it’s not something we’re willing to abandon at the moment. It’s our identity.” That said, he understands that some may find “there’s just too much to overcome” as he admits he has “never been a very skilled player”....

The Cruel King and the Great Hero is a new side-scrolling RPG developed by NIS, and it’s just been released for the Switch and PS4. The game tells a story of a young girl whose father has died, and was entrusted to the care of a fearsome dragon who used to terrorize the lands. The story follows the pair as the girl grows in strength, and hints that she might one day defeat the dragon himself....

Bethesda has revealed that it won’t release The Elder Scrolls Legends on any formats that don’t support cross-platform play. Speaking during an interview with Game Informer, Bethesda mouthpiece Pete Hines made it clear that the feature is an integral component in the fantasy-flavoured card strategy title, and therefore no exceptions will be made in this respect. Bottom line: if a console doesn’t have cross-play, The Elder Scrolls Legends won’t be on it....

This past weekend, the organizers of the Game Developers Conference made the tough decision to postpone plans for the show until later in the year. With growing concerns over the spread of the coronavirus, the planners felt it was necessary to delay the show to ensure the safety of everyone involved. Despite these concerns, the ESA is moving forward with plans for E3 2020. In a statement given to Vice, the ESA said, “Everyone is watching the situation very closely....

If there’s any tried and true game series that has withstood the test of time throughout multitudes of console generations, it’s Final Fantasy. The JRPG genre was single-handedly defined by Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy in the archaic days of the Famicom where they were pioneers of the gaming industry. Looking way back to 1987, gaming was an entirely different platform than what we have today, and comparing the size of an NES game to a PS4 game is like comparing the strength of an ant to an elephant....

Well, it’s no secret - The Last of Us is a sad game. When it was released, the game was endlessly praised for its story and emotion, as no one had quite seen anything like it in a video game. The thing that makes it so good is that it doesn’t pull any punches, and it isn’t afraid to explore the deepest and scariest parts of the human psyche....

The Winter Veil has brought holiday cheer to Hearthstone, with a host of festivities taking place from today until January 6. During the holiday season all game boards will be decked in festive cheer, with snow settling on the eaves and gables of Stormwind and ice over Orgrimmar. Additionally, the Hearthstone heroes each have a new jolly “Greetings” emote. Players can also take advantage of a free card promotion, offering 10 free Classic Hearthstone packs when purchasing a bundle of 40 Classic Hearthstone packs or more....

The Geoff Keighley-hosted Summer Game Fest will broadcast its live show on Thursday, 9th June at 7pm UK time (11am Pacific, 2pm Eastern). Summer Game Fest is, of course, the Keighley-fronted rival (and now semi-successor) to the usual array of E3 press conferences which typically broadcast each summer. There’s no actual E3 this year, as you’ll recall. Announcing the festivities, Keighley promised a “live cross-industry showcase” with game announcements, reveals, and the indie-focused Day of the Devs....

This Supergirl review contains spoilers. Supergirl Season 4 Episode 16 In a strange reimagining of its own history, Supergirl retconned most of this season to make it all about Lex Luthor. Though the episode was full of interesting character moments, it didn’t have quite enough substance to stand on its own, and ultimately felt less satisfying than it could have if it were less of a ret-con and more of a payoff....

Supergirl Season 4 Episode 7 This week on Supergirl,Kara and J’onn learn the truth about how far Manchester Black is willing to go for vengeance, Lena tests her first human subject, and James finally sees how vulnerable he is to the Children of Liberty. Throughout Lena’s deeply unethical first human trial, she tries to keep her one and only test subject at an arm’s length. Adam, AKA Subject 0331, won’t let her, and it frankly makes her a better scientist....

In the original System Shock, terminals were spread throughout the game, that if tampered with, would transport the player. These areas were trippy, and presented a digital construct of electronic programs. Since then, games like Watch Dogs have implemented similar techniques to display electronics for in-game puzzles. Of course, Ubisoft’s versions were a huge visual step up, but now developer Nightdive Studios has shown off its reworked Cyberspace levels for the System Shock remake....

Telltale is not wasting any time with its announcements at Comic-Con, announcing three new games in one long announcement video. First up was Batman: The Enemy Within, with its first episode arriving this August. This time around Batman/Bruce Wayne faces off against The Riddler. Telltale really has no chill. Batman: The Enemy Within is a new five-part episodic series that continues Telltale’s take on the bat. Episode one, ‘The Enigma’ sees Batman/Bruce Wayne having to thwart the threat of The Riddler, who has returned to terrorise Gotham City....
