When I saw the first trailer of The DioField Chronicle, Square Enix’s new simulation JRPG, I initially thought it was a new turn-based tactics JRPG like Final Fantasy Tactics, but then I realized it was a real-time game. That gave me pause, as I’m not exactly the best RTS player in the world (read: I’m terrible at it), and I tend to prefer turn-based games. That being said, I was still intrigued....
The Division’s Public Test Server (PTS) has up ‘till now only been available to PC users, well that’s all changing from today. Rolling out alongside the game’s 1.7 update. Ubisoft has confirmed via Twitter that invites are being sent out to Xbox One and PS4 players in Europe, later on today. The PTS will give players access to game tweaks and adjustments before they’re released to the general public. Limited to just 20,000 players across both of the consoles, invites will only be sent to those who have been playing the game during the last thirty days and are at the end-game....

That’s because the sequel to the 2014 cinematic adaptation of the ‘80s series, which also starred Denzel Washington and was also directed by Antoine Fuqua, feels more like a television show than a feature film. Screenwriter Richard Wenk, who also wrote The Equalizer and Washington and Fuqua’s The Magnificent Seven remake, has only ever written movie screenplays....
The Holzer Files will remain open. Travel Channel announced today that its ghosthunting show has been renewed for a second season. The Holzer Files season 2 will premiere in late 2020. The unscripted paranormal series re-examines the investigations of famed ghost hunter Hans Holzer through the lens of popular radio show host and investigator Dave Schrader, psychic medium Cindy Kaza, equipment expert Shane Pittman, and researcher Gabe Roth – with guidance by Holzer’s own daughter, Alexandra Holzer....
SNK has dropped the first character trailer for upcoming beat-em-up The King of Fighters XV showing off the moves of Shun’ei in action. Shun’ei was introduced in the previous title, The King of Fighters XIV as one of the current series protagnists and makes his return here sporting a natty pair of headphones and making good use of his combination of fists where one hand has the power to control fire and the other the power of water....

Sony confirmed that The Last of Us Part II will be out on June 19. Writing on the PlayStation Blog, head of SIE Worldwide Studios Hermen Hulst also revealed that the release of Ghost of Tsushima has been pushed back by a few weeks to July 17. The announcement comes just hours after The Last of Us Part II‘s story was allegedly leaked online. The leak is said to contain nearly every cutscene from the game as well as a breakdown of the title’s levels....
Today NIS America released a new trailer of the legendary JRPG by Nihon Falcom The Legend of Heroes: Trails From Zero. The trailer introduces the cast of characters that we’ll meet in the game, which is basically a “holy Graal” the localization of which many JRPG fans have asked for a decade. Daedalic Entertainment, developer of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, has been bought by the game’s co-publisher Nacon. The companies announced the acquisition yesterday evening to the tune of €53 million Euros. Nacon said the deal would enable Daedalic “to grow its awards-winning development team”. It also added that the move would “strengthen its position as a leading indie publisher” in a joint statement. Daedalic has a few titles under its belt as both developer and publisher that Nacon get in the deal....

Even imagining trying to play through a gigantic RPG like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt once, let alone twice is a huge ask. The final stretch of the game is incredible, and it’s hard to imagine resetting the narrative back to the beginning. But, if the Netflix Adaptation lead Henry Cavill can do it, anyone can. Witcher 3’s NG+ mode has a lot to offer, especially since Geralt is allowed to transfer a lot of his end-game gear into the new run....
How To Meditate Geralt may only meditate outside of combat and while stationary on his own two feet, not astride Roach. The Meditation page can be accessed through the same menu as the World Map. Players will find the Meditation tab to the far right of the list. Once on the page, players may select a timespan for meditating by rotating the hands on the clock. The wheel is broken up into quarters....
CD Projekt Red has announced that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be getting some free DLC based on The Witcher Netflix series later this year. The studio made the announcement as part of this year’s WitcherCon broadcast over the weekend. While the company did indeed keep to its promise of no new game announcements, it did reveal this upcoming DLC as well as confirming the game’s next-gen update is still coming for later this year....
While yesterday’s Nintendo Direct arguably didn’t have many major surprises, I was taken aback by one particular reveal. No, Ninja Gaiden wasn’t the only shambling corpse dragged from the earth yesterday during the show. The return of Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse was a reveal found nowhere near my bingo card. Still, ol’ Stubbs, the undead hero of a game that came out on the original Xbox nearly 16 years ago, has risen from his grave....
