The Nier: Automata anime adaptation only debuted in Japan on 7th January, but the broadcast of episode 4 and beyond have been postponed whilst the team deals with “the impact of COVID-19”. Though the team was unable to confirm when broadcast will resume, it did promise to update us “soon”. “Thank you for your continued support of the Nier: Automata Ver.1.1a TV anime,” the team explains via statement on the official Twitter account....

On August 30th, The Dark Crystal: Age Of Resistance – a ten-episode prequel series to the 1982 film – will come to Netflix, with Froud’s designs once again setting its visual tone....

Lush-looking survival title The Forest will finally be getting a full release on April 30, developer Endlight Games has announced. It’s been a long time coming too; The Forest has been hunkering down in the Early Access program for around four years, and currently stands version 0.73. It’s also meant to be hitting PlayStation 4 in 2018 too, although the game’s developer has been worryingly quiet about this version. As previously reported, The Forest’s full release will result in a small price hike, with the game jumping from $14....

In perhaps unsurprising news, Activision Blizzard has confirmed that it plans to release another premium Call of Duty game in the fourth quarter of 2021, following hot on the heels of the success of last year’s release of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. In the company’s fourth quarter earnings call on Thursday evening (as reported by Video Games Chronicle) chief financial officer Dennis Durkin said “We will benefit from a full year of Warzone driving upgrades to our premium content and incremental in-game player investment, and we have a substantial opportunity to continue migrating the community to Black Ops Cold War as well as another strong premium release planned for Q4 in 2021....

Developer Q-Games has announced it has purchased back the rights to PS4 sandbox adventure The Tomorrow Children. The studio confirmed it had bought back the IP from Sony Interactive Entertainment on its website. The world-building sandbox originally launched in October 2016, but shuttered just over a year later. SIE’s now-defunct Japan Studio also helped out with development duties on the free-to-play title.
