Numerous sources are reporting that it now looks like The Last of Us Part 2 leak is the result of hackers gaining access to the servers that stored information about the upcoming sequel. It seems that this group eventually discovered that Naughty Dog was keeping some The Last of Us Part 2 information on the same servers they used for the original The Last of Us. It’s believed that the group was able to acquire at least one terabyte of The Last of Us Part 2 data by March by utilizing a password exploit that allowed them to access the servers where that information was served....

The Matrix 4 has temporarily shut down production due to the coronavirus pandemic that’s put much of the movie industry on hold in the past few weeks. The movie, a surprise sequel to the trilogy of cyberpunk action movies starring Keanu Reeves, was shooting in Berlin when Warner Bros. decided to postpone production. According to Deadline, no one in the cast or crew has tested positive for the infection, so this is just a precautionary measure by the studio, which has also closed down production for The Batman, Fantastic Beasts 3, King Richard, and Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis Presley movie....

The upcoming live action Resident Evil movie reboot (now entitled Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City) has been delayed a couple of months and will now be releasing in November. The news was first broken by Variety, who say that Sony Pictures has decided to move the film’s release date from its originally planned launch in September as that’s the day Disney plan to release Marvel movie Shang-Chi and the legend of the Ten Rings, and Sony are understandably concerned about the movie’s chances against the latest entry in the MCU particularly with the slow return of audiences from cinema closures during the still-ongoing global pandemic....

The Witcher 3 has had new attention since the web-series of the franchise was released on Netflix. Fortunately for players who are replaying the game but looking for new content on top of what they missed previously, mods are constantly providing new features. One of the latest mods by Roenaxx gives players an “Exotic Arsenal” to find and wield in the game. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt continued CD Projekt Red’s successful adaptations of The Witcher books by Andrzej Sapkowski, and was one of the most successful RPGs of this generation....

Riot Games dealt the Fates expansion (or set) to Teamfight Tactics back in September 2019. However, the developer has just announced the mid-set update, which will launch on January 20. The update is called Teamfight Tactics Fates: Festival of Beasts, and it will make roster changes, introduce new traits, add loads of cosmetics, and signal the start of a new ranked season. The Festival of Beasts will also add a new battle pass to the auto battler....

This year’s entry into the Call of Duty franchise, Modern Warfare, hits almost all of its marks. The only place where it really fumbled the ball was in the Cooperative offerings. Survival mode is all well and good, but as of now only PS4 owners can enjoy it. The Spec Ops missions, on the other hand, are currently chock full of bugs and glitches. While these can be remedied with updates, the levels themselves leave much to be desired....

A couple of weeks ago we finally saw the reveal of the much-rumored remaster of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. We have seen many remasters during this generation of gaming, but only one was another racing game. The thing is that there’s no point remastering anything like Project Cars, Forza Motorsport, Gran Turismo, or any of the F1 games. This is basically happens each time we get a new entry in those franchises....

The Valorant closed beta is underway and hopeful players have all turned their attention to Twitch in the hopes of getting an access drop. However, Riot Games continues to introduce agents to fans with videos on Twitter. The latest Valorant agent to flaunt his skills is Cypher, the Moroccan one-man surveillance network. Cypher specializes in keeping tabs on his enemies. Using an array of abilities, he can reveal their locations and hinder their movement....

“Either they’d found the world’s biggest serial killer or it was the world’s biggest hoax in American criminal justice history,” we hear in the trailer for Netflix’s upcoming The Confession Killer. The five-part documentary series comes from Taki Oldham, who helms the film along with Robert Kenner, the Academy and Emmy Awards-nominated director of the 2008 film Food Inc. That film found health risks in corporate-run agribusinesses. The Confession Killer tells the story of Henry Lee Lucas, once labeled the most prolific serial killer in history....

Today, the creators of The Dragon Prince revealed that fans will be able to get a special first look at Season 4 if they are one of the lucky few that can get into the panel that is happening during San Diego Comic-Con. The Evil Within 2 was revealed at Bethesda’s E3 press conference in a brand new trailer. The creepy, very well put together trailer showed off some pretty unsettling images including milkmen. There’s even a cover of Duran Duran’s Ordinary World in here, too. Worth admission for that alone. The Evil Within 2 is out Friday, October 13.

We’re now four films into Blumhouse Productions’ Purge series, and its trappings have become fairly easy to predict. There’s a single night of legalised violence, gangs of deranged people in creepy masks, extreme violence, and a thread of less-than-subtle political satire. Written and directed by James DeMonaco, the first three Purge films gradually expanded on its dystopian premise. The first movie, released in 2014, was a clever twist on the home invasion thriller, where a wealthy white family saw their fortress-like house beset by lunatics....

A new gameplay trailer for Injustice 2 shows off some of The Flash’s moveset in the upcoming fighter. Barry Allen, better known as The Flash, returns to the series with what looks like a similar moveset to what he had in the original game. However, there does appear to be a few modifications that you can check out in the video below. Injustice 2 will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 16 in North America, and May 19 in Europe....
