Developer Giant Enemy Crab has been working on a tactical shooter called Due Process for a while now and today they have released a reveal trailer. Rainbow Six games used to be about careful strategy and mission planning and Giant Enemy Crab are bringing back that style of gameplay with Due Process which is a procedurally generated tactical FPS. The game has been in development for a while and they have shown early footage over the past six months....

Tencent is trying to become Ubisoft’s single-largest shareholder - overtaking that of the company’s founding Guillemot family. That’s according to a new Reuters report, which cites a number of sources close to the company with knowledge of ongoing discussions. Tencent already owns around five percent of Ubisoft (alongside chunks of dozens of other video game companies). Now, it’s seeking more. According to Reuters, Tencent has offered “way above” the company’s current share valuation in order to sweeten the deal - around €100 per share, close to the company’s previous best, from 2018....

Just about everybody, gamer or not, knows who Mario is. This gaming icon has achieved a level of cultural status akin to Mickey Mouse, and has starred in a countless slew of Nintendo games ranging from 2D and 3D platformers to sports titles. The Binding of Isaac has been an establishment for indie games for seven years. Starting out as a crude flash title, it has gone through a number of re-releases and updates. Once upon a time, 2017’s Afterbirth+ was thought to be the last bit of new content the title would receive. However, it looks like that is no longer the case. Nicalis has recently released a teaser for something called The Binding of Isaac: Repentance....

Currently, The Callisto Protocol is not having a good launch. The game has released to divisive review scores, and folks on Steam are hitting it hard – awarding it with a Mostly Negative rating. While the content seems fine, the game itself is plagued with stuttering issues on PC. I’m assuming most players who wade through them to the end likely are not looking forward to playing it again. However, assuming a patch is on its way, next year’s content drop for the game may come welcome....

Last night sure was an exciting on for fans of fighting game esports. As the Capcom Pro Tour and mystery counter wound down, the developer announced Street Fighter 6 — which looks awesome. So awesome, in fact, that the short teaser has nearly eclipsed the other announcement. However, it shouldn’t be overlooked, especially if you love classic fighting games. The Capcom Fighting Collection brings together 10 fan-favorite fighters, all on PC with modern upgrades like online play and rollback netcode....

Well apparently one fashion related tie-in was not enough for today, as EA has also issued a press release to tell us about their partnership with clothing brand ASOS for the launch of Need for Speed Payback. We’re told that EA and ASOS worked together on the game, which is ostensibly about cars, to ‘not only set the look and feel for the game, but to also bring the cool and rebellious style of Payback to life outside of it....

Ubisoft’s E3 2018 press conference is currently underway. As expected, The Crew 2 has made an appearance at the show ahead of its June 29 release. A few days ago, it was announced that an open beta would go live ahead of the launch. Now, Ubisoft has formally announced that this beta will be available as of June 21st. Thus, players will be able to jump into the open world driving playground for free over a week ahead of launch....

The beta for Destiny 2 has been extended until the end of tomorrow/very early on Wednesday, depending on your time zone. This’ll be good news to anyone who’d been hoping to try it out, but was stymied by the big download, and also everyone else trying to play it at once. The new end for the beta is now Wednesday 26 2am BST / Tuesday 25 6pm PT / Tuesday 25 9pm ET....

Another week means another round of Epic Store free games for you to enjoy. This week includes IO Interactive’s Hitman title, which spawned a franchise of assassination games. In addition to that is the Shadowrun Collection, which includes three standalone titles. The Shadowrun franchise enjoys a very close following as well, and the collection still goes for a hefty price on competitor’s stores. You will definitely want to claim these two freebies, as they are sure to offer many hours of enjoyment....

From the increasing number of substantial female roles in film and television to the influence of female showrunners, directors and leaders in the business, the entertainment world seems to finally be making big leaps in equal representation. There’s still a long way to go, though. According to the Center for the Study of Women in Television and Film, only 40% of the top-grossing 100 films of 2018 had female leads or co-leads and for women of colour that number dropped down to 11%....

There are many things I don’t particularly like about Overwatch 2. In my last beta preview of the game, I got some hands-on time with Junker Queen and noted that she felt a lot more like an offensive DPS-style character rather than a tank, and it seemed that Overwatch, as a whole, was moving more towards being a competitive FPS game rather than a hero shooter. Those feelings still hold true even as I’ve sunk a considerable amount of time with the final build of Overwatch 2 over the past two weeks, but somehow I just can’t seem to stay away....
