Today, Bioware has launched Star Wars: The Old Republic’s 7.1 update, titled “Digging Deeper.” In the new free content, players will be introduced to the new high-level Operation, the R-4 Anomaly, as well as the Manaan Daily Area. Bandai Namco has announced that Eliza, the pre-order bonus only character, is now available to all. Just not for free; you can buy Eliza for £3.99. Eliza is an apparently 1000 year old vampire, who originally starred in the free-to-play Tekken Revolution on the PS3 back in 2013. Also announced is the release of Taiko no Tatsujin items as DLC downloads. There are ten free pieces of customisation content themed around and featuring Taiko characters....

Dragons have invaded Elder Scrolls Online this year, in ‘The Season Of The Dragon’, a year-long, four-update story event that includes the Elsweyr chapter, which launches this summer. This dragon invasion may seem improbable to some fans, due to the fact that ESO takes place during Tamriel’s second era, which until now was believed to be a dragon-free time period in the universe’s lore. Over the course of 2019, the mystery behind the dragons’ unexpected presence in the Khajiit’s desert homeland will be revealed, though canonical exposition will likely be the farthest thing from players’ minds when they come face to face with the fire-breathing beasts....

For the programmers over at Bethesda, Fallout 3 turned out to be one of the biggest RPG releases in an incredibly strong sales year. In not entirely surprising news, director Andy Muschietti may get his wish: a remake of The Howling. Obviously unafraid of playing in the sandboxes already defined by previous cult classics—like Stephen King’s It—it was while promoting the second half of that King adaptation that the director revealed he’d love to remake The Howling. We were there at the pre-San Diego Comic-Con event, Scare Diego, where Muschietti and the It Chapter Two cast were asked if there’s any movie they wouldn’t want to be involved in remaking....

The Last of Us is a beautiful game, but it can also be a challenging one. The sequel to Naughty Dog’s much-lauded The Last of Us, aptly titled The Last of Us Part II, may be coming out in February, 2020. Eurogamer spotted an interview Ashley Johnson did with Critical Role where she was asked for a release date, and the actress who plays Ellie sounds like she begins to say February before being cut off by the interviewer. Just in time for the holidays, The Last Remnant has arrived on mobile. ‘Tis the season for surprise game announcements! If you’re a mobile gamer, you’ll be happy to learn that yet another previous-gen RPG has arrived on Android and iOS devices. Square Enix has re-released The Last Remnant on mobile without any warning. Originally released back in 2008 for the Xbox 360, The Last Remnant tells the story of Rush Sykes and his quest to save his kidnapped sister....

Newsflash: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles may not have been the most normal Saturday morning cartoon ever. But for a TV show about anthropomorphic reptiles who are into cosplay and extreme sports and somehow picked up a Southern California drawl to their speech patterns, it felt pretty normal most of the time.
