Street Fighter V sold fewer physical copies in the UK during its opening week than Street Fighter IV, GFK Chart-Track has revealed. The fighting game launched exclusively on PS4 and PC last Tuesday, but failed to outdo the series’ week one sales record set by its predecessor, which launched simultaneously on Xbox 360 and PS3 back in February 2009. The figure does not account for the number of copies sold digitally, however, which is expected to be considerably higher than the number of copies downloaded seven years ago....

Some good news for a rainy Tacoma day! Deadline reports that TruTV has ordered another season of firefighting comedy Tacoma FD. Tacoma FD Season 2 will feature 13 episodes. There is no early word on a release date, though Deadline notes it will go into production later this year and arrive in 2020. Tacoma FD was created by Kevin Heffernan and Steve Lemme of the Broken Lizard comedy troupe and Super Troopers movie franchise....

Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption publisher Take-Two Interaction has today announced the acquisition of Zynga, the mobile game publisher behind titles such as Dragon City, Monster Legends, Top Eleven, Two Dots, and WWE SuperCard. The two companies’ combined value of $12.7 billion now creates one of the largest publicly traded interactive entertainment companies in the world. In a press release, Take-Two highlights that the addition of Zynga’s mobile business will increase its sources of RCS, a highly-attractive revenue stream that helps reduce volatility across reporting periods that has historically been driven by the cadence of Take-Two’s console and PC release slate....

Bandai Namco is trumpeting the success of JRPG Tales of Arise, declaring it’s already passed one million units sold worldwide. As per the announcement, the milestone makes it the fastest selling entry in the series’ 25-year history. Producer Yusuke Tomizawa thanked fans for their support in a statement accompanying the news. ““We are very proud and humbled to see fans and newcomers reception playing Tales of Arise.
