Nintendo has confirmed a slew of new details on the upcoming Switch version of Bayonetta 2, revealing the sultry action-adventure game will feature Amiibo support to unlock extra content. Players who snap up a copy of the former Wii U-exclusive outing will be able to use the figures to get their paws on Nintendo-themed costumes and weapons for the game’s eponymous demon-slaying heroine. While you can unlock the extra costumes the old fashioned way like in the Wii U edition, by utilising compatible Amiibos you can grab them instantaneously....

The sprawling universe of Terry Pratchett’s Discworld, a comic fantasy series of novels that has long since reached classic status, is getting a television adaptation treatment courtesy of BBC America in the form of a new original scripted series, The Watch, but the show will necessarily narrow its focus to the misfit cops that inhabit a subset of stories in the beloved series. BBC America will co-produce with Narrativia, and Simon Allen (The Musketeers) will pen the series with Hilary Salmon (Luther) at the helm....
Iceberg Interactive and developer Cybernetic Walrus have announced that their super fast racer Antigraviator will release for PC on 6 June. In Antigraviator players will have to use traps, power-ups, and boosts to win the races. Players also have unlimited speed and the most skillful players should come out on top. “We’re extremely proud of Antigraviator and how the development has gone. We had the opportunity to showcase the game at several events such as GDC and PAX East, and the audience response was very positive” says Mike Coeck, CEO of Cybernetic Walrus....
The price of Rockstar Games parent company Take-Two has fallen after Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption writer Dan Houser announced plans to leave the developer. Houser confirmed that he would be leaving Rockstar Games in a filing yesterday, prompting many fans to wonder what would happen to the company’s biggest series without him. Take-Two’s shares have fallen by around 5.5%, or $7 per share following Houser’s shock announcement that he is leaving Rockstar Games....

Homeworld Mobile has been announced in a curious new teaser trailer. We don’t know a whole lot about what this new mobile game will offer. We do know that Homeworld is the original 3D space-based RTS from Relic Entertainment, a 1999 classic that went on to define the genre and spawn a sequel. Bandai Namco has released a new trailer for Dragon Ball FighterZ at Gamescom 2017. The short trailer gives us a brief look at the 3v3 Party mode combat, the online battle modes and a tease of the game’s story mode in a short cinematic. From Friday, February 27th until Monday, March 2nd, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 will be free to play on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The promotion is most likely in place to encourage new players to try the game out ahead of its upcoming expansion, Warlords of New York, which will launch on Tuesday, March 3rd. When The Division 2 first released back in February of 2019, the game received high praise from critics, but just simply did not appeal to the wider audience Ubisoft had hoped it would....
Team 17 has announced that it’s bringing Christmas-themed bonus content for free to its cutesy prison escape game The Escapists 2. Entitled Santa’s Shakedown, the update adds a new prison with a distinctively festive theme and a theatrical warden who’s trying to put on a panto in the sports hall which he has repurposed as a makeshift theatre. Earlier today on the Apple TV YouTube channel, the first trailer for The Essex Serpent was released. This upcoming Apple TV+ series is based on Sarah Perry’s award-winning 2016 novel of the same name. It’s a period drama set in Victorian England that focuses on the life of Cora Seaborne (Claire Danes) and her interest in the reports of a sea serpent terrorizing a remote village in Essex.
