Players of The Sims 4 will get to enjoy a new Scenarios mode being introduced to the game this week. As revealed on the official website, Scenarios are a new goal-based story mode within the popular life sim. Players are given a scenario (obviously) and a goal they must achieve by the conclusion. How they reach that goal, however, is up to the player. There’s two scenarios on offer in the The Sims 4 Scenarios mode’s initial launch....

Telltale has revealed new info on The Walking Dead Season 3, set to premiere this autumn. In the third season, an older and more able Clem is joined by newcomer Javier, both of whom are playable characters. The new image below shows Javier and Clementine making their way through a walker-infested slaughterhouse. Telltale once again emphasised that Season 3 has been designed to appeal to both fans via Clementine, but also offer a good starting point through the new story of Javier....

CD Projekt has announced that the next-gen versions of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be released later this year. The company made the announcement on Twitter, where it said: “Let’s make this 7th anniversary even better, shall we? We’re delighted to share that the Next Gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is planned to release in Q4 2022. See you on the Path, witchers!” Last month, CD Projekt delayed the game indefinitely....

When a game is an overall poor experience, the faults that surround it tend to get swept away in the waves of bad game design. Take-Two Interactive addressed its investigation of YouTuber SupMatto involving the leaked information on Borderlands 3 and subsequent copyright strikes against his channel, in a statement to IGN. Yesterday, the hashtag ‘#BoycottBorderlands3’ trended on Twitter as a result of a video uploaded by SupMatto. The content creator explained that, after he used thumbnails from Gearbox employee Twitch streams testing the Borderlands 3 Twitch EchoCast extension, Take-Two issued seven copyright strikes against his videos....

Jeff Gardiner, a Bethesda veteran of 15 years and most recently the project lead on Fallout 76, has announced a new studio and open-world occult RPG with it. The studio is Something Wicked Games and the project is Wyrdsong, pronounced “weirdsong”, or at least that’s how Gardiner pronounced it on a phone call to me. It’s going to be set in Portugal around the forming of the Knights Templar. Something Wicked was co-founded with Obsidian veteran Charles Staples in April this year, who led design on Outer Worlds....

So far, 2019 has been a delightful year for The Legend of Zelda franchise. First, we got the surprise collaboration with Cadence of Hyrule and now a remake of Link’s Awakening on Switch. Square Enix’s outing into the strategy RPG genre was confirmed for PC earlier this year, and now the publisher finally announced a release date for this new adventure. DioField Chronicle‘s release date is slated for late September. According to the publisher, it’s set to deliver a “deeply strategic RPG” in addition to a “compellingly deep story.” This story of war and honor is now available to pre-order on Steam, so if you’re excited about some more strategy RPG action, today is your lucky day....
