Murder mystery deduction game The Forgotten City is surprisingly heading to the Nintendo Switch today thanks to a Cloud Version. Released on PC, Xbox and PlayStation in July, the game sees you trapped in a mysterious underground city during the Roman Empire. On top of that, the city is under a curse where all 23 trapped souls will die if The Golden Rule is broken. Oh, and you’re trapped in a time loop too....
The fine folks at the Internet Archive have revealed the latest addition to their database. They have added more than 2,500 MS-DOS games. This brings the number of MS-DOS games in their collection to nearly 7,000. The organization, which also features the Wayback Machine, has an incredible database of media available for users. For those unfamiliar with the group, Internet Archive is an official 501(c)(3) non-profit. Functioning very similar to a public library system, their goal is to make digital knowledge and media available to all users....

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD releases for the Nintendo Switch tomorrow, so of course there’s a launch trailer to mark the occasion. In case you’ve somehow not been keeping up, the game is a remaster of Link’s 2011 adventure originally released for the Wii. Set right at the beginning of the series’ various timeline, it tells the origins of the fabled Master Sword and the kingdom of Hyrule....
The next Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC fighter could be from one of SNK’s franchises, as revealed in a listing on Nintendo of UK’s official website (thanks, Game Rant). The listing for Challenger Pack 4 showed the usual additions to the fighting game; a new fighter, a new stage, and several new music tracks. But underneath the description, there was a copyright notation, ‘©SNK CORPORATION ALL RIGHTS RESERVED’. Twitter user PushDustIn posted screenshots of the listing before it was removed....
The Uncharted movie is still very much alive and kicking, with director Shawn Levy getting some positive feedback from developer Naughty Dog on the project. Speaking at the DICE Summit this week, the studio’s creative director, Neil Druckmann, shared his thoughts on the long-delayed action-adventure flick, and why he’s pleased with Levy’s decision not to adapt one of the games for Nathan Drake’s cinematic debut. Instead, Levy’s Uncharted movie will focus on a younger Drake (played by Tom Holland) and will be something of an origins story....
Last week, I travelled to CD Projekt Red to play the long-awaited next-gen update for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which will be released 14th December - AKA next week. I spent a few hours with the update, playing with the new graphical options, the quality of life improvements, and the quest tied to unlocking gear from the The Witcher Netflix show. In the Supergirl Season 4 finale, we first heard whispers of Leviathan. In the episode’s final moments, an older woman approached Eve, telling her that: “Leviathan is everywhere. Leviathan is everyone. And Leviathan is coming.” For her part, Eve looked terrified, the scene suggesting she has been under Leviathan’s control for a long while. As we head into Supergirl Season 5, Leviathan seems poised to play a major role. Any return to Midvale is welcome, and it’s always great to hear The Format (Nate Ruess’s band before fun.) The neural pathways thing feels like scifi gibberish flimflam but sure, fine, whatever. If nothing else, it allows for a great montage of memories of Alex and Kara flooding back as Alex realizes Supergirl is her sister....
It is nearly the end of another year and that means it’s time for another entry in the WWE franchise with WWE 2K19. Last year’s entry was a definite improvement and easily the best entry since 2K Sports took the reigns. However, despite the improvements, some fans still walked away from the series feeling a little bit disappointed when it was all said and done. The WWE 2K franchise has a habit of very slowly introducing new features or reintroducing old ones that fans have long wanted to see make a return....
Zombies are a popular enemy in video games, whether as the main villains or to introduce special gameplay in non-horror titles like Call of Duty: Black Ops. There’s just something inherently creepy about masses of the undead shambling or running after players that gets the adrenaline pumping. Some games have taken the undead creature to new heights, by re-imagining the monster in scary and unprecedented ways. It’s hard to select only 10 creepy zombies out of the hordes of horrible ones, but horror fans will surely agree that these are some of the most unique and creepy takes on the creature in recent gaming history....
