For such a dark series, it was surprising to see such an emphasis on the bonds of kinship....

The Legend of Bum-bo, the upcoming game from Super Meat Boy and The Binding of Isaac designer Edmund McMillen, has been delayed and will now be out in ‘the first half of 2018.’ On Twitter McMillen said that he and co-creator James Id have ‘expanded the game a bit,’ and have decided to push the launch from the originally planned tail end of 2017. He added that more news and a teaser trailer should be out around February time, which will hopefully give us a better idea of what’s involved in the turn-based RPG....

The Game Awards 2022 will be held on 8th December, it has been announced. The video game industry’s annual winter trailer fest, which also includes some awards, will broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, and be livestreamed online. This year’s show will include a new category for Best Adaptation, which will award “shows, movies, books, podcasts, comics and more” which “authentically adapt” video game source material. 2022 has certainly seen plenty of video game adaptations, with TV series based on Cuphead, Halo and Tekken, as well as film versions of Uncharted and Resident Evil....

Nintendo has officially announced The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD, an HD remaster of the classic Zelda game heading to Wii U in March. Overwatch continues its seasonal celebrations with Halloween Terror 2018. The event starts today and will run until October 31. It will add themed skins for heroes, among other seasonal loot boxes. What Are You Dressed As? For the uninitiated, the Halloween Terror event brings new costumes and designs for each hero in Overwatch. There are currently 28 selectable characters, each having their own unique seasonal skin. There is a moment halfway through The Rhythm Section that encapsulates the entire film’s strengths and weaknesses. It’s a car chase through the streets of Tangier that is shot entirely from the front seat of the vehicle, as terrified would-be assassin Stephanie Patrick (Blake Lively) flees the all-male enemies pursuing and shooting at her. Director Reed Morano puts you right in the middle of the action in what starts out as a stunning one-take sequence but then simply becomes a camera swinging frenetically back and forth as cars torpedo around your peripheral vision....
