The pinnacle rewards, meant for Destiny 2: Shadowkeep players looking to grind the endgame and reach the base power level cap of 960, might just be a broken and frustrating mess. Linux gamers had a few worries recently after rumors broke out that Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC) may no longer end up getting support for future games. The remake of System Shock by Nightdive Studios is seemingly aiming for a March 2023 launch according to its Steam page, which lists this window as its release date. Cuphead, Altaïr, Rabbids, Mega Man X, and Mega Man Battle Network series costumes will be added to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate soon, as announced by Nintendo. Mii Gunners have Mega Man X and Mega Man.EXE suits on their way to the wardrobe, and like a bolt from the blue, a Cuphead costume is coming too. This does literally turn the Mii Gunner into Cuphead, finger guns and all, so that’s probably the closest we’ll get to a proper crossover....

Publisher PQube has announced that Supermarket Shriek, its madcap co-op shopping-trip-gone-wild adventure will be heading to PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam next month. The game, which released back on Xbox One in June of last year, sees you control both a man and goat stuck together in a shopping trolley trying to navigate their way through multiple obstacle courses and challenges in a supermarket filled with plenty of physics-based objects to contend with as you race to the checkout....

Tenet will be released in theaters. Eventually. While hardly shocking news, there had been some speculation this week after Christopher Nolan’s Tenet abandoned its Aug. 12 release date (the third it’s had scheduled) over just what Warner Bros. has planned for the time-bending epic. But though WB’s previous announcement that the film would not enjoy a “traditional global day-and-date release” confirms the studio is intending to stagger its release around the world, AT&T CEO John Stankey is now making it clear that Tenet will have only a theatrical release… even if other delayed WB films may not....

Tetsuya Mizuguchi, the creator of Rez, has said that he interested” in making a game for Sony’s PlayStation VR 2. In an interview with VGC, Mizuguchi spoke about his team, saying that they are looking to virtual reality: “I can’t say anything very specific… but we are very interested, and we’re thinking about how we can push VR, so we’re very interested in new hardware and how we’re looking to make VR games better....

The Division 2 released last March, and it received some fairly good reviews. We gave it an 8 out of 10. Even though it traded the beautifully desolate New York and all of its snow for the mud and green of Washington, D.C., it continued its predecessor’s focus on fun looter-shooter gameplay. It’s also getting an expansion on March 3, Warlords of New York, which will see players head back to the Big Apple, even if we won’t be seeing any of that pretty snow this time around....

In traditional Bethesda style, The Evil Within 2 now has a post-release PC demo. You can find it on Steam in the usual spot for a ‘download demo’ button.
