We’re two weeks out from Bloober Team’s The Medium, and the trailers are coming thick and fast. We’ve seen a ton of hauntingly horrific gameplay over the last few weeks, along with some in-depth behind the scenes content. We’re now moving into movie territory though, with quite an impressive live-action trailer for The Medium. Typically, live-action trailers sort of do my head in. They usually tell us nothing about the game they’re trying to portray, and often appear when the team has no real game footage to show....

The Missing, the oddball-looking platformer from Deadly Premonition maestro Hidetaka Suehiro, will be released on October 11 for PlayStation 4, PC, Switch, and Xbox One. Developed by Swery’s studio White Owl, The Missing is one of two projects that the Japanese developer has on the cards, the other being murder mystery title, The Good life. That was kick-started earlier this year, albeit only just. The Missing has quite an interesting concept....

Bandai Namco and Project Aces released another video in which DJ Sho Okada plays the music of several Ace Combat Games. This time around, following volume 1 from a couple of weeks ago, we get a “volume 2” featuring the music of Ace Combat 5, Zero, 3D, and Assault Horizon. And yes, if you’re wondering “The Unsung War” is part of the video, which makes it 100% better on its own....

Taking corners well is an essential part of getting good times and nabbing pole position when circuit racing. The upcoming reboot of Forza Motorsport will contain, among a lot of other features, some help in this regard. Turn 10 has stated that its implementing a new mastery system that will allow players to really hone in some of their cornering skills of Forza Motorsport. The second full trailer for Independence Day: Resurgence is here, and things really aren’t looking good for humankind. Set 20 years after the first invasion, humanity thought it was prepared for another attack, but it was wrong. Roland Emmerich is back in the director’s chair, with familiar faces of the first film – Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman and Brent Spiner – joined by a new generation of heroes including Liam Hemsworth....

Popular fantasy novel The Night Circus is getting the film feature treatment! According to Deadline, Geremy Jasper (Patti Cake$) has signed on to direct the adaptation for Lionsgate, with Harry Potter producer David Heyman and Jeffrey Clifford on board to produce. Written by Erin Morgenstern (over the course of three NaNoWriMos!), The Night Circus is the story of two dueling magicians and the young people who get pulled into their epic, generations-long struggle for dominance that occurs mostly at the Night Circus, aka Le Cirque des Rêves....

Street Fighter V will release on PS4 and PC this financial year, Capcom has confirmed, with the publisher expecting to sell 2 million units across both platforms by March 31, 2016. A release window for the game was revealed in the publisher’s latest financial results, where it confirmed that it had plans “to launch more titles in popular game series” during the current financial year, including Street Fighter V. It remains unclear, however, whether the game will release this side of Christmas or in early 2016....

Sly Cooper developer Sucker Punch has lifted the lid on a new line of merchandise to celebrate the series’ 20th anniversary. This range consists of a Sly plushy (seen in the header image), a print of some anniversary artwork by the original Sly Cooper’s art director Dev Madan and an anniversary T-shirt. The artwork is certainly an impressive collection of nostalgia for Sly Cooper fans. Madan has rammed it full of references and Easter eggs from the last 20 years....

Today, Bandai Namco released a new trailer of the upcoming JRPG Tales of Symphonia Remastered. The trailer focuses on the game’s story, which is loved by many fans of the genre and will finally be brought back for those who have never played it. We get to meet the cast and take a look at the narration. Tales of Symphonia is one of the most classic and beloved chapters of Bandai Namco’s Tales series, originally released in 2003 for GameCube and then ported to PS2 in 2004....

[Update – June 21 @ 9:30 PM ET]: Following the report below, Katsuhiro Harada took to Twitter to explain that Tekken X Street Fighter is actually not canceled, but “is still pending.” According to Harada, the initial report came out of a translation error. He clarifies, saying “up to 30% of the development was in progress, but now it is still pending.” “We are still hopeful that TKxSF will resume development when the opportunity arises,” Harada wrote....
