The Japanese Nintendo eShop has seen an upset in its rankings, as the port of Moon RPG Remix Adventure has toppled Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age - Definitive Edition from the number one spot on the charts. Moon RPG Remix Adventure was an obscure RPG for the original PlayStation that was released in Japan back in 1997. The game parodied many of the JRPGs of the 16-bit era and played with a lot of the tropes that had been established by series like Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy....

I wouldn’t have thought Respawn Entertainment would add new weapons to its recently released Apex Legends this early on. But hey, what do I know? The new gun – known as the Havoc – can function both as a close-quarters, rapid-fire pulse rifle, or use its beam for longer distance snipes. It was introduced via Twitter in a short vignette, with more details released on the game’s official site. Either way, you’ll surely be annoyed by the fact that you just got killed with a beam of light....

Gorgeous retro actioner The Messenger looks set to make the jump to PlayStation 4, according to a newly-unearthed PEGI rating (via Gematsu). Devolver Digital hasn’t made any formal announcement about a PS4 release yet, but PEGI is usually on point with this sort of thing, so hopefully that’s the case with this listing. Following the return of The Tomorrow Children’s IP to Q-Games from Sony, today the Kyoto-based developer announced the game’s release date. The Tomorrow Children: Phoenix Edition will hit PS5 and PS4 on September 6 in Europe and North America and September 7 in Japan.
