Today NIS America announced the western release date for North America and Europe of the legendary JRPG by Nihon Falcom The Legend of Heroes: Trails From Zero. The JRPG, which was never localized when it was originally released for PSP in 2010, will finally launch in the west for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on September 27, 2022. The DICE Awards 2018 have crowned Switch exclusive The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild its Game of the Year. The critically acclaimed open-world adventurer fended off some pretty stiff competition for the gong, including Cuphead, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Nintendo’s own Super Mario Odyssey. Cuphead had a particularly strong result, bagging the awards for Outstanding Achievement in Animation, Outstanding Achievement in Art Direction, and Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition....

Another week, another development update for Microsoft Flight Simulator. While Asobo didn’t have too much to say this week, the team has confirmed that the next big Microsoft Flight Simulator update is slated to release quite soon — next week on Wednesday, March 10 to be exact. The upcoming update, dubbed Sim Update 3, will be dedicated to enhancing the gameplay experience across the board. In this particular update, some of the expected fixes include finally making improvements to the Garmin G1000/G3000 GPS systems that are found in a lot of the sim’s general aviation aircraft like the TBM 930 and Beechcraft Bonanza....

After months of speculation, Nintendo has finally announced the official release date for the Nintendo Switch Online service. They had previously stated that it was coming in the second half of September, and we now know the exact date is the 18th of September, 2018. This announcement was made on Twitter, with the official Nintendo Switch Online service page being updated to reflect the new information. The Nintendo Switch Online service will also come with a 7-day free trial once it launches....

Developer Obsidian has revealed that The Outer Worlds is going to get new story DLC next year, in 2020. In a post on the game’s official forum (via GamesRadar+), Obsidian’s social media manager, Shyla, made the announcement, in light of the game receiving multiple nominations at The Game Awards. “We want to take this opportunity to thank the incredible team behind The Outer Worlds,” said Shyla. “It is because of their hard work and dedication to this project that we received the Best Narrative, Best Performance—Ashly Burch, Best RPG, and Game of the Year nominations at The Game Awards....

One of the joys of Supermassive Games’ titles are their focus on player choice, and as a result, the branching narratives created on any given playthrough. It’s conversations between spaceships and it’s been going on for years! Billy (Bruce Davis), the guy who calls into the radio station after Fay and Everett broadcast the sound recognizes it from when he was in the military. He tells the two that he was in a special detail where he was charged with taking on covert missions he didn’t truly understand and that one involved him digging a massive hole with walls and a concrete floor at an unknown remote location which housed various bunkers and labs and testing facilities (think Area 51)....

When Scott Gimple took over for Glen Mazzara as Walking Dead showrunner prior to season four, it was clear what the show was getting. Based on Gimple’s output writing for the series, he was the “intimate character moments” guy.
