The Division’s game director Ryan Barnard has left Ubisoft Massive to join Hitman developer IO Interactive. According to his LinkedIn profile, Barnard left Massive in February prior to The Division’s release, before starting at IO earlier this month. He was employed by Massive for over 4 years, having previously worked as a game designer at Crytek, EA Mythic and Sony Online Entertainment. “As we continue to grow our commitment to the Hitman game franchise, it’s with tremendous excitement that we can announce another great addition to the Io-Interactive family,” IO wrote on its website....
Avengers: Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo will be making an appearance at The Game Awards 2018 next week, host Geoff Keighley has revealed on Twitter. There’s no word yet on what the duo will be there for, although there’s a couple of reasons they could be turning up. First, the brothers are known to be pretty big gamers, plus they also have a new Avengers movie to promote. This The Purge review contains spoilers. The Purge Episode 7 I appreciate The Purge‘s commitment to old-fashioned stunt work more than perhaps anything else about the show. After all, there aren’t many movies that would light a guy on fire, then send him down a zip line, let alone a television show. The only thing I appreciate more than a “guy on fire” scene is an unbroken long take tracking shot, like the stairway fight in The Protector or the incredible raid sequence in True Detective....

Super Smash Con banned Super Smash Bros Ultimate player CaptainZack who admitted to asking pro player Ally to throw his matches in the wake of a sexual abuse controversy. Top Smash player Zack “CaptainZack” Lauth admitted last month to a relationship with fellow Smash pro Elliot “Ally” Carroz-Oyarce. At the time of the relationship, Ally was 27 and Zack was 16. This lead to the voluntary retirement of Carroz-Oyarce, who later owned up to the relationship himself....
Bandai Namco Games has revealed a new trailer for Tekken 7 highlighting the game’s upcoming Wall Bound mechanic. The Wall Bound is coming as part of a major update for the visually-striking scrapper next month, which ushers in a second season of content. As you might have guessed, it allows you to bounce (or bound) your opponent off a wall, giving you a chance to pummell them further. Wall combos were already a pretty big thing in Tekken anyway, although this takes this to the next level....

Tell Me Why tells the story of Tyler and Alyson Ronan, identical twins reflecting on their formative years spent living in their Alaskan hometown. As a studio, Dontnod has never been one to back down from tough topics, this time tackling transgender issues with the character of Tyler. Players have a while to wait before Dontnod pulls on their heart strings again — all three episodes of Tell Me Why will release in the summer of 2020....
