Developer Edmund McMillen has given a new update on the newest forthcoming expansion The Binding of Isaac: Repentance, claiming the new content will be even bigger in scope than Rebirth was to the original flash game. In an update to the game’s Steam Community page, McMillen said that development on the game is “about 90% done” and that it is “actually bigger than rebirth was to the OG flash game… its basically a sequel at this point....

Ubisoft’s open-world racer, The Crew 2, is entering its fifth year, and this milestone is bringing a ton of improvements and changes to the game. The Elder Scrolls: Blades will be coming to Switch in 2020 instead of the end of 2019, as announced by Bethesda (via Eurogamer). “We know how eager our players are to dive into Blades on the Nintendo Switch and we’ve been hard at work to make it happen,” the blog post published by Bethesda said. “Unfortunately, amidst all the other changes we’re making to Blades, we’ve had to delay our Switch release until early 2020....
Astounding things can be born from familiarity. As anyone who’s played Portal knows, few puzzle games do it better. The Entropy Centre can appear like a straightforward Portal mimic, and it leans into that expectation. It’s got the hallmarks. Going through clearly labeled puzzle areas with a special gun and an AI cracking wise are present and accounted for. But the game does so much more, using wonderfully tuned puzzles, a compelling premise, and excellent writing to lift itself above its peers as it attempts to reach the shoulders of its inspiration....

The trial will let you play the opening chapters of Sebastian Castenellos’ latest adventure for absolutely free, as detailed by this trailer they’ve sent along. The Evil Within 2 is out now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Alice wasn’t a huge fan to tell the truth, but at least now you can give it a try too before deciding whether to put down your hard earned cash....

Superhero movies have a notoriously poor track record on sincerely depicting disenfranchised or marginalized groups on the screen, LGBTQ+ or otherwise. Often every time a Hollywood studio brags about including a gay character in a major blockbuster, it turns out to be a character without a name, or a background player whose public display of affection can be easily trimmed out of international cuts of the film. 2015’s Until Dawn tasked players with saving the lives of eight young adults on Blackwood Mountain when everything takes a turn for the terrifying. Supermassive’s spiritual sequel The Quarry gives players a similar goal, though this time it’s nine camp counselors at Hackett’s Quarry who must be saved. The cast of The Quarry is arguably the game’s greatest strength. Each of the nine counselors, to say nothing of the excellent side characters and antagonists, have engaging personalities and backstories, making the player want to fight to save them....
