The Super Monkey Ball Series was a staple of 2000s gameplay, with its innovative gameplay, adorable characters, and deceptively difficult levels. It’s still going strong too, with a remake of the 2006 Wii game Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz coming out for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC this fall. Sega should capitalize on this remaster and port the game to mobile platforms as well. Super Monkey Ball is the perfect series to be ported onto a mobile game....

Sega has announced that Beat from Jet Set Radio will be an unlockable character in the forthcoming Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania. As per the announcement, Beat will be free and unlockable from launch on all platforms. He’ll join the regular Super Monkey Ball family including leader AiAi, MeeMee, Baby, Gongon, Doctor and YanYan. The deluxe version of the game will also include a few extra nods to Sega’s past. These include a Classic Character Pack that’ll make the monkeys look like their Gamecube versions....

A new update has been released for Super Smash Bros. 3DS that enables the use of amiibo characters. To use it, though, you’ll need a shiny New Nintendo 3DS system which comes equipped with built-in NFC technology. Those with a older 3DS or 2DS system will need to wait for the launch of a separate NFC accessory later this year. Developer Bossa Studios announced that Surgeon Simulator 2 will launch on the Epic Games Store on August 27. A trailer has been released showing the upcoming game’s new features, including a Lab Creation Mode. Surgeon Simulator was first released in 2013, and became popular due to the entertaining and the over-the-top gameplay physics.
