The Witcher 3 developer CD Projekt Red will unveil a proper first look at the game’s upcoming PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions via a Twitch stream tomorrow. Insomniac Games hasn’t made any formal announcement about a PC version of Sunset Overdrive, but we’re pretty sure it’s definitely happening at this point. Aside from a bunch of ratings popping up recently, the game’s Achievements have now reared their head, all but confirming a PC release. The Dark Pictures and Until Dawn developer Supermassive Games appears to have registered a new trademark for something called The Quarry. The listing was spotted over the weekend as reported by Video Games Chronicle. Twitter user The_Marmolade gave the headsup on the listing, that was registered on the European Union Intellectual Property Office. The entry lists the categories for the filing under “Games Software”, “Entertainment Services” and “Computer Programming Services”....
Swimming With Men is just the kind of film I ache to like. An ensemble comedy, dealing with human issues in a Trojan horse of laughs, this one is led by the always-excellent Rob Brydon. Furthermore, there’s a yes-I’ll-see-that ensemble cast, including Jim Carter, Jane Horrocks, Thomas Turgoose and Adeel Akhtar. What could go wrong with that? Sadly, in this case, a few things. It starts promisingly, though. We meet Brydon’s Eric as he’s hitting the buffers....
System Shock 3 will now launch on PC and “other platforms” – likely to mean PS4 and Xbox One – thanks to a publishing agreement between developer Otherside Entertainment and Starbreeze AB. Starbreeze has invested $12 million in bringing the game to market. “System Shock is one of those iconic franchises in the history of games that still gets my blood going and Mr. [Warren] Spector is one of the founding fathers of the modern action RPG,” said Bo Andersson-Klint, Starbreeze CEO....
It was a safe bet to think Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty would be a combat-heavy action RPG in the vein of Nioh. After all, the game is coming to us from Team Ninja, with the producer of Nioh and the producer of Bloodborne on board. Today, we finally got a glimpse of Wo Long gameplay, and it does not disappoint our predictions. It does, however, leave us impressed. The game is looking damn good....
Dotemu has given a summer release window for upcoming retro-themed brawler Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge. The date comes alongside a whopping eleven-minute long slice of gameplay footage of the new game. In addition, developer Tribute Games has also announced the original voice cast from the 1987 cartoon are on board. That means you’ll hear voice work from Cam Clarke as Leonardo, Townsend Coleman as Michelangelo, Barry Gordon as Donatello and Rob Paulsen as Raphael....
Telltale has secured yet another high profile partnership, this time adding the world of Marvel to its slate of franchises from which to create games. There’s a big line between a bad sequel and a disappointing one. For example, I was incredibly hyped for Fallout 4 after Fallout 3 and New Vegas were so much fun. They were also my first experiences for the franchise so that’s a factor too. Fallout 4, however, was a letdown, but I don’t think it’s a bad game. It just felt like more of the same. For someone that didn’t play any of the others I bet it felt amazing....
