Bandai Namco has confirmed that JRPG Tales of Arise will also head to Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 along with its previously announced platforms, and will be landing this September. An interview with producer Yusuke Tomizawa with Famitsu (helpfully translated by Gematsu) gave us more details, including the fact that the Xbox Series and PS5 versions will offer Performance and Graphics priority modes for 60FPS and 4K resolution respectively, and that there’ll be a free upgrade for those that get the game on Xbox One and PlayStation 4....

The King of the Iron Fist is still going strong as during this weekend’s Tokyo Game Show we got a new trailer for Tekken 7 Season 4. The trailer shows off the character that was strongly hinted at in July, now officially confirmed to be Kunimitsu. In the trailer, we see her first face off against Master Raven, and then against Yoshimitsu. During the trailer, we also get to see several of her moves, including her multiple teleport attacks....

Life is Strange developer Dontnod’s supernatural mystery adventure Tell Me Why is free to download on Xbox and PC (via the Microsoft Store or Steam) in celebration of Pride Month. All episodes of the game were also free this time last year for the same reason. While the first episode is free all year round and the whole game is available on Xbox Game Pass, it’s nice to have the opportunity own the whole game to play on your own time....

Enhance and the Tetris Company have announced Tetris Effect: Connected will launch as a free update to the game on PS4, PC and Oculus Quest on August 18. The update, which first released as an Xbox exclusive back in November, adds several new multiplayer modes to the 2018 game. These include Connected where players team up against an AI controlled boss, Zone Battle and the classic 1v1 Score Attack. In addition, an update to the game on all formats will add cross-platform play, a new Spectator mode and more features revealed last month....

Focus Home Interactive has announced that The Council Episode 5 – Checkmate will launch on December 4. In addition to the final chapter in the narrative-driven thriller, players will be able to grab the Complete Season of The Council for all platforms on the same day at brick-and-mortar retailers. UPDATE 13/6/22: The Persona series will also be heading to Steam and PlayStation, although no release date has been given. A press release shared with Eurogamer states: “These beloved games will also be heading to Steam and PlayStation”. However, without a release date, this could be a timed exclusive for Xbox and PC. Persona 4 Golden, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, and Persona 5 Strikers are already available on Steam, so it makes sense to complete the set....

Supermassive Games has announced that the multiplayer mode for The Quarry, its upcoming horror, is now releasing on July 8th.
