Daedalic Entertainment has delayed the launch of Lord of the Rings: Gollum once more, this time pushing its previously announced 1st September release back “by a few months”. Lords of the Rings: Gollum was announced in March 2019, promising a Middle-Earth-inspired blend of “subtle tactical stealth”, environmental puzzling, climbing challenges, and “fast-paced parkour action”, all playing out across a mixture of open levels and more linear missions. Daedelic was originally aiming to launch Gollum last year, but ultimately made the decision to delay its release into 2022, although no reason was given at the time....

Media Molecule’s surprisingly comprehensive game-design tool Dreams has amassed a reputation for creating (and re-creating) a variety of fantastic games and art pieces. During its early access period on PlayStation 4, players have made tons of fan re-creations of games, re-imagined worlds, artistic experiences, and even their own original game ideas in Dreams. With Dreams officially releasing this week, here’s a look back at some of the most interesting and unique Dreams creations made in early access, a sneak peak of what’s to come with the full release....

We still don’t know the price of the PlayStation 5, but analysts believe that it will cost more than the PlayStation 4 at launch with a price tag of around $450, thanks to the scarcity of necessary components. The PlayStation 4 launched at $399, making it a hundred dollars cheaper than the Xbox One when it was released. The reason for this is that the Xbox One launched with the costly Kinect unit as standard and it wasn’t able to match the price of the competition until it was dumped, by which point the PlayStation 4 had already taken the lead in the marketplace....

Fans eagerly awaiting the upcoming DLC for classically-styled platformer Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course may have to wait a little longer, as developer Studio MHDR has announced a small delay. The DLC, which is set to feature new character Ms. Chalice, was originally scheduled for a 2019 release, but Studio MHDR has put out a statement announcing that to ensure the package ‘meets the meticulous level of care and quality we always strive for’ and, perhaps more importantly, to ensure that the studio makes things ‘in a way that’s healthy and sustainable for our team’ the content has been pushed into 2020....

Earlier today, indie developer EinzelartigGames and publisher Red Deer Games dropped a brand new trailer for its stylish old-school platformer, Inukari – Chase of Deception, which comes to Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S later this year. As Sakurai notes, though, Nintendo intends to add six more DLC fighters to the game in the future. You’ll be able to purchase the new pass starting soon, and the studio states that they have already decided which fighters will be added to the game as part of the upcoming DLC. Pint-sized priestess Talim is the latest character to join fighting game sequel SoulCalibur VI, publisher Bandai Namco Games announced this afternoon. Introduced in SoulCalibur II, Talim is the sole daughter of a powerful shaman hailing from the Village of the Wind Deity in South-East Asia. There, she was raised as the Last Priestess of the Winds. Talim mastered the deadly Syi Sarika and Loka Luha, two ancestral elbow blades that you really don’t want to be on the receiving end of in the middle of a scrap....
