After a month away from our screens the show is now sprinting towards its finish line and planting some interesting seeds that may or may not come up in the future (probably not – old habits die hard)....
One of my favorite things from The Dark Pictures Anthology is how each game gives you a glimpse at the next title in the series. For instance, the final premonition in Man of Medan showed you a woman who slid off a roof only to get hanged. That was the prologue chapter of Little Hope. Later in that game, you’d discover a premonition where a soldier fell down a cave. That soldier is one of the characters in House of Ashes, the next game in The Dark Pictures Anthology....
Review copies have been sent and with them the “Strand game” takes flight. A review embargo for Death Stranding has been scheduled for November 1, exactly one week before its release. Reviews will release across the globe on November 1 at 12:01 p.m. PDT and 4:01 p.m. JDT. Over the past few weeks, Ubisoft has been trying out a new mode for The Division 2 on its PC test server. Titled The Summit, this mode provides a pretty unique setup for a mode in The Division 2. It’s set within a 100-story skyscraper, with the goal to reach the very top of the building. The Summit is set to launch alongside season 3 on September 22. Now that Ubisoft has had time to test the mode, the publisher deemed their Ubisoft Forward event yesterday as the right time to fully reveal it....
The Division 2 has a vast plot that shows us everything about the game but the developers have added hidden bosses in the game for when you max out and have completed the story and side missions you still have something remaining that will challenge you to your absolute limits. These bosses are level 35 and taking them on will be a task, they will sometimes drop an ivory key along with the mask which you will need to unlock the weapon crate found in the base of operations....
The Girl of Glass: A Summer Bird’s Tale was first revealed back in 2016 as part of the Square Enix Collective – a pitch platform that helps indie developers get recognition for their games. And possibly support from Square Enix. The Girl of Glass scored a whopping 91% recommendation from voters. So, unsurprisingly, it charged ahead with development. It has undergone many changes since its original reveal. But now the developer, Markus with friends, has announced The Girl of Glass will launch on Steam later this summer....

The Magicians Season 5 Episode 12 The Magicians should be applauded for its commitment to including a musical episode each season, and the fact that “The Balls” comes just before the end of the series makes this one particularly poignant. In that sense, centering the songs around emotions, bottled or otherwise, was an appropriate choice. However, combining the musical elements with a heist, another tried and true narrative in this show, may have had a diluting effect on both fan favorite formats rather than doubling the enhancement....
Bethesda has officially announced several balance changes for their first-person shooter Wolfenstein: Youngblood. While getting to gun down Nazis should be its own reward, these changes should make combat more satisfactory. There have been multiple changes meant to reduce the feeling of enemy “bullet sponginess.” Several bosses, including General Winkler and all the Tower Gate Guardians, have been adjusted to better match the level of the surrounding enemies in the area....

Ninty will be launching an official range of Switch charging stands this summer, the company announced on Twitter. While this may seem a bit dull at first, it’s actually pretty big news for Switch owners. Chances are you’ve played the console propped up in tabletop mode, right? Another The Walking Dead game is in the works, this time for the PSVR, and fans are cautiously optimistic about how well it will turn out. As fans of both this show and other franchises know, attempts to create meaningful, enjoyable gaming experiences from films and shows sometimes fall flat, as some of the previous attempts in The Walking Dead series have shown. Hopefully, this will be different. The Walking Dead: Onslaught is already quite a tantalizing idea because of its use of VR, which has been used in other games of the survival horror genre to great effect, as seen with Resident Evil 7....
Whether it’s in The Witcher games, books, or Netflix series, Geralt of Rivia is a true badass. He puts an end to monsters, bandits, and whoever else gets in his way, usually in a quick and brutal fashion too. However, one-person wrecking crews are not unusual to gamers, as they’ve seen plenty of protagonists put an end to hordes of enemies. Which brings up the question, how tough is Geralt? In the Witcher universe, he’s insanely deadly, but how would he do against other video game characters?...
Succubus is out and is coming for your hard drive space. The game weighs in at a whopping 60 GB, making it one of the indie games with the largest install sizes around. And, while it is an indie, it also has some fairly demanding specs. Well, not that demanding, but more power than most non-AAA games require. Granted, this game has very good graphics and frequently has a large number of characters onscreen at once, so this shouldn’t be too much of a surprise....

In retrospect, Superman Returns‘ low-key, emotional approach is almost revolutionary, especially in light of our post-Avengers superhero movie world where most superhero movies are consistently trying to outdo each other with spectacle in the third act. There’s a lot to like in Superman Returns, despite some of its questionable choices, and it’s a movie that may have had the deck stacked against it from the start. Superman Returns clearly wanted to appeal to a particular segment of the audience, namely Superman purists who grew up on Christopher Reeve’s films, which depicted a friendly, idealistic hero operating in a fairly black and white world....
Upcoming PS4 survival racing game Distance will also support PlayStation VR, developer Refract has announced. Distance is a point-to-point racer, only here the player will be challenged to reach the goal alive, overcoming treacherous obstacles around every corner. Distance launched in Steam Early Access back in December 2014 after being Kickstarter funded in November 2012, and had been targeting a PS4 launch this year. In the year since the PS4 version was announced developer Refract has been working hard to add things like random track generation, new story mode content, improved car customisation, improved multiplayer features, and other optimisations....
At this point, Surviving the Aftermath, a “post-apocalyptic survival management game from developer Iceflake Studios,” has remained in Early Access for over two years. During this time, the game has received a myriad of updates based on player feedback. Judging by the more recent Steam reviews, players have felt mostly positive about the changes made. Soon enough, will get the opportunity to experience Surviving the Aftermath in a completed state for the first time....
Team Secret have defeated Evil Geniuses to claim the victory at DreamLeague Season 13: The Leipzig Major, the second Major of the 2019-20 Dota Pro Circuit season. This victory awards Team Secret the $300,000 first-place prize along with 4,850 Dota Pro Circuit points. Team Secret’s Lasse “MATUMBAMAN” Urpalainen kicked off game one with first blood. Trades continued early on as neither team could hold on to the gold lead.
