The DLC for Streets of Rage 4, Mr. X Nightmare, at last hit the proverbial streets today. It brings three new playable characters, a new game mode, more moves and weapons, and, finally, what everyone has really been waiting for: patch notes. I noted in my preview that the DLC had a couple rare bugs in it, notably with retro audio. Hopefully this latest patch clears them up. The patch notes for the DLC, however, don’t just include bug fixes for Streets of Rage 4, but they also rebalance some of the existing characters....

Summer camp simulator Camp Canyonwood will release next week as an early access title. From 4th August, you can step into the shoes of the newest counsellor at Camp Canyonwood, where you’ll manage campers, teach them new skills, earn badges, and work to restore the camp by “building and modifying the campground”. “Build and manage a struggling summer camp to restore its former glory!” teases the video description. “Each summer, teach new campers activities like fishing, archery and more, while protecting them from dangers natural and supernatural....

This Supergirl review contains spoilers. Supergirl Season 4 Episode 13 People make a lot of jokes about CW shows, especially the dialogue. I generally ignore it and think the network has a lot more to offer than people give it credit for, but episodes like this one make it hard. It seems that everything Manchester Black touches turns to over the top dialogue and on the nose references. “It’s a bad time to be a good man,” “I’ve got bigger fish to murder,” and, “we terminate prejudice with extreme prejudice,” were among the lowlights....

Developer Supermassive Games has announced a delay to the latest upcoming entry of The Dark Pictures anthology set of horror games, saying that Little Hope won’t make its originally intended summer release. In a statement posted to the game’s official Twitter account, CEO of Supermassive and Executive Producer on the game Pete Samuels pointed to the challenges of the 200-person studio now working from home due to the COVID lockdown as a major reason for the delay, saying that ‘Our priority, throughout, has been the safety of our team’...

Nihon Falcom announced that a life-sized statue has been sculpted to celebrate the upcoming release of the JRPG The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki II – Crimson Sin. The statue portrays Grendel, the transformed form of protagonist Van Arkride, and it’s over two meters tall. It will be exhibited on the 6th floor of the Yodobashi Camera Multimedia store in Akihabara, Tokyo from June 21, 2022, until the game’s release....

A rumor states an HD port of the Metroid Prime Trilogy and a remake of Super Metroid are coming to Nintendo Switch. Fans have been starved for a new home console Metroid experience for years now. The previous home console installment was Metroid: Other M for Wii back in 2010. Metroid Prime 4 still appears to be far away from release. According to Twitter user LeakyPanda, the Nintendo Switch is set to receive the long-requested HD collection of Retro Studios’ Prime series....

According to a report by the BBC, the House of Lords Gambling Committee has finally made its move regarding loot boxes. The lords have determined that loot boxes should be considered “games of chance” going forward. Their primary argument is basically that if something looks and feels like gambling, it’s probably gambling. The Gambling Committee’s report states that a connection has been established between problem gambling and loot box spending. Although this isn’t necessarily causal, the fact there’s any established link at all will be concerning for many gamers....

The Walking Dead will continue its impressive run with an eleventh season, as confirmed during the show’s panel at NYCC. Neither showrunner Angela Kang or chief creative officer Scott M. Gimple shared any details about what the 2020 season might entail, but it’s safe to say that it will continue to touch on story beats first introduced in Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard’s comics. The introduction of comic character Princess could open up the world of The Walking Dead, creating a pathway to the next big (and final) storyline from the comic: the group’s struggle with the Commonwealth, a sprawling metropolis that’s rebuilt civilzation in the years since the zombie apocalypse....

When you hop into a match of Call of Duty: Warzone, there are many points of interest you can land at. One of these areas is the Train Station, which is a relatively popular landing spot in Verdansk ’84. It is unfortunate that the Train Station has been a hot spot for some huge exploits. This includes the glitch that allowed players to get inside of a wall during matches. Now, the wall exploit is back with a vengeance and ruining Warzone matches once more....

Of all the magical creatures the Geralt has faced and fought, it would seem that the Wild Hunt are the worst. They are the in-game adaptation of real-life European folklore and whether the game did justice on them or not, they are worthy antagonists of The Witcher III: Wild Hunt. Of course, that would imply they did morally bad things, much like their real-world fictional counterparts. In this case, however, “bad” would be an understatement....
