Strong is wearing surgical scrubs on the set of Sky thriller Temple, an eight-part series about an illegal medical unit set up far below London’s streets, based on Norwegian original Valkyrien....

If you’ve ever wondered why developers keep on adding microtransactions to their games despite all the backlash, it turns out microtrans are still an incredibly profitable practice. Take 2 Interactive, for example, made $317 million in microtransactions alone from July through September 2019. According to a report released on Gamasutra, that money came from the “sale of in-game currency, add-on content, and in-game purchases.” It made up over a third of the revenue that Take-Two made last quarter....

In the early days of gaming, survival horror games were probably the most underrepresented category. As graphics got better, which allowed for more realistic environments, the genre has become more and more popular. In fact, one of the biggest disappointments of the current generation of consoles was the cancellation of P.T., which was supposed to continue the Silent Hill series. The anime industry is filled with detailed stories that feature well-written characters and unique locations. The meta in Call of Duty: Warzone is ever-changing. The Bruen Mk9 is a light machine gun that has a high fire rate and the best accuracy out of all the LMGs. Also, the Bruen is able to compete well with assault rifles. This includes the popular M4A1 and Grau 5.56. Not too long ago, players were relying on the Grau 5.56 loadout to deal high amounts of damage in Verdansk....

It’s Friday! Or is it? Time is a social construct, so I could tell you it’s Wednesday today, and how could you prove me wrong? It’s Friday because it’s the fifth day this week, but when did this week start? Can’t prove that either, I’m afraid. Well, the calendar in the bottom right corner of the monitor says it’s Friday. Who told the computer that it’s Friday? Anyone could change that display in the settings....

The Callisto Protocol’s latest patch introduces New Game Plus. Striking Distance Studios announced the new feature in its latest patch notes, confirming that as part of its v.3.01 patch, players who kick off a new game on a completed game save will be able to access all their weapons, upgrades, and outstanding Callisto Credits when they first visit a Reforge. The feature is now live on PC and consoles, along with the usual bug squishes and tweaks to improve performance and resolve issues....

In a series filled with mushroom people, supposedly sentient brick blocks, and characters like Birdo, Waluigi stands out among the crowd as the Super Mario franchise’s strangest character. His debut appearance in Mario Tennis came pretty much out of nowhere with no discernible explanation and he’s been showing up in the spin-off games ever since. Logic dictates that Waluigi is to Luigi what Wario is to Mario, and they’re paired up enough that this seems to be the case but Nintendo has never quite confirmed what exactly Waluigi’s relationship to the cast is....

The Cycle: Frontier is a unique PvPvE game where players are able to buy and sell among many other features. If you have any item in your inventory that you might not want or need then you should consider selling it. This will clear up your inventory and allow you to add on items that you actually do need. Apart from helping you earn some more money while you’re at it....

Supermassive Games and Bandai Namco have released an eight minute gameplay video for upcoming horror title The Dark Pictures: House of Ashes. The footage from this third game in the The Dark Pictures Anthology series confirms that Preminitions will make their return, giving players a hint at possible fates they can either manifest or avoid through their actions, and your choices will effect the story including who lives, and who dies....

At Bethesda’s E3 showcase tonight it was announced that the next two DLCs for The Elder Scrolls online are a dungeon DLC called Wolf Hunter and a story DLC called Murkmire. The Elder Scrolls gets a new dose of DLC every quarter, so that’s your next six months plotted. According to the presser, Wolf Hunter is themed around a werewolves and and Murkmire gives a deeper dive into the Argonians (the cool lizard people)....

Warning: contains spoilers from the start. 1.1 Separation Space travel is a serious business, and The First, a new eight-episode drama about the inaugural human mission to Mars, is a duly serious drama. It’s solemn, not just because of the disaster that occurs in episode one, but because it takes itself and its themes seriously: the optimism of human endeavour. The pain of failure. Sean Penn jogging topless. That last one’s not a theme, but it happens with such frequency in episode one, we at least have to consider it a motif....

GTA: The Trilogy cursed us with its bug-ridden mass months ago, receiving a few updates before they dried up in short order. But finally, the game received a new update today with a huge number of improvements and fixes across all three titles in the collection. Realistically, this probably won’t put much of a dent in the laundry list of issues people have with it. But I’m glad to see the game hasn’t been abandoned....

The Magicians Season 5 Episode 1 The Brakebills graduates have been separated at the start of other seasons of The Magicians, but it feels more pronounced and somehow more appropriate than usual that each character has their own shit to work out this time around. As Alice’s mom tells her, “No one gets to tell you how to grieve… you’re on this journey by yourself,” and with Quentin gone from their lives, they’re all going to have to “do something crazy to get through it,” whether it has to do with mourning their friend’s loss or not....
