Today’s Xbox Games Showcase was full of different titles, but The Medium definitely had the creepiest trailer. The video showed off the player’s ability to explore different versions of reality, while teasing the story. The premise of the game reminds me of Silent Hill, and the lurking antagonist seems like evil incarnate. This new trailer gives us a good look at the upcoming horror-mystery game that’s sure to cause nightmares....

Nintendo has announced that it will roll out a new Switch update on September 18, designed to lock user profiles to their linked Nintendo Accounts. The patch will arrive alongside the launch of Nintendo Switch Online. That leaves only five days for you to make sure that your Switch profiles are linked to the proper account, or they’ll be locked indefinitely. Once September 18’s updated is installed, you won’t be able to unlink the profiles anymore....

Get ready for some big changes to Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) as the developers have announced an upcoming type rearrangement to Fairy Pokémon. Going forward, Fairy types will generally be represented as Psychic in the TCG. This means that unless something drastic occurs, all future Fairy will be released as Psychic, and to maintain overall balance among types, all Pokémon that are classified as Poison type in the video games will be represented as Darkness types instead....

Five new games were recently announced to be arriving on the Google Stadia this year, two of which belonged to very beloved series. Panzer Dragoon: Remake will be hitting the Stadia later this year, and the Serious Sam Collection will be making its way to the game streaming platform as well. The Sims team has just released a trailer for the upcoming Sims 4 game pack, Realm of Magic. This much-anticipated content will see magic finally added back into the franchise. The Sims first introduced magic back in the original game with the Makin’ Magic expansion pack. The Sims 2 featured witches as a life state in Apartment Life, while The Sims 3 went one step further with the Supernatural expansion pack....

Behind The Frame developer Silver Lining Studios has announced its next game to explore art and human connection, The Star Named EOS. Where Behind The Frame was all about painting, this new game focuses on photography as the basis of a narrative puzzle game. It’s set for release later this year on PC and “more platforms”, with a demo due during the forthcoming Steam Next Fest from 3rd February. Check out the trailer below....

WrestleMania XXX was an eventful show. It calmed the fears of those afraid that it would crash the WWE Network and cause major damage to the company’s radical streaming venture. Cesaro broke away from his tag team and broke out by winning the Andre the Giant Memorial Trophy. Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, and the Rock hung out in the ring and had a blast. Choices To Make I could tell that Paradox’s new title was every bit as unique as its predecessor, Surviving Mars, when I hit the very first menu and found a setup menu that is both simple and incredibly flexible....

What is it about the odd concept of 4 tadpoles mutating into gigantic human-like turtles on steroids that has won the hearts of so many kids and teens of the last 30 years? Obsidian’s incredibly hyped new RPG project The Outer Worlds is finally out in the wild, and so far, reviewers are raving over its many virtues. Very little of this praise seems undue, as the game definitely seems to be everything it marketed itself to be. The same cannot be said for some its leading competitors, to say as little as possible on that particular subject. That said, we pride ourselves on at least attempting to be a little objective here at TheGamer....
