Speaking with GI.biz, Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick says it’s unrealistic to expect the upcoming cowboy sequel to match the near-100 million-selling crime opus, although that’s not to say Red Dead 2 won’t be a mammoth success in its own right....

Crypto has now made his first corporeal appearance in Apex Legends, adding even more hype around his rumored release as the next playable character in Respawn’s battle royale. Last week, the banners scattered around King’s Canyon went dark, indicating Crypto’s involvement in sabotaging the “Apex Games.” Now, the new character can be spotted in the depths of “Labs,” the latest structure Respawn injected into King’s Canyon. Venture into the main entrance of Labs, hang a right, kick down a set of blocked doors, and inside you can peer through a window revealing the hacker in action....

Developer Edmund McMillen has announced that “sequel-sized” final expansion The Binding of Isaac: Repentance will be releasing on Steam on March 31 of this year. Following a trailer announcing the date, McMillen said on Twitter that the DLC will “expand the game greatly” and add “tons of new bosses, floors, alt paths, items, story elements, challenges and new characters” to the popular roguelike shumup. The reason given for the pack missing the previously touted “end of the year” goal was that the team “wanted stuff to be perfect and it took longer than expect (sic)” as well as to ensure more testing....

And it’s tough to really draw too many conclusions from what amounts to 10 seconds of footage from each, but in particular The Falcon and The Winter Soldier snippets gave us our very first look at one of the show’s most important characters, a likely villain who could end up sticking around after these six episodes are complete....

Konami’s official eFootball Twitter account has confirmed its first release will be “basically a demo” when it launches this Autumn. The comments were made in an official Twitter thread answering fans’ common questions about the planned free-to-play launch. It said “We want people to get hands-on with eFootball as soon as possible, so we will launch with a limited number of teams and modes”. Further details are promised closer to launch....

Developer Firesprite has announced that its roguelike-scented horror title The Persistence will launch on July 24 for PSVR.
