The season’s second episode shifts its gaze onto Cole and Alison and attempts to explore that question for these two damaged souls....

Wretchedness of that kind demands an exchange—some dramatic insight or honesty that makes the pain feel worthwhile. Yager Development has announced that its next game, The Cycle: Frontier, will launch on June 8th for PC, via Steam and the Epic Games Store.J Yager is most famous for Spec Ops: The Line, a third-person cover shooter set in Dubai. John Carmack has decided that virtual reality isn’t enough of a challenge, so he’s moving on to artificial intelligence. You likely remember Carmack as the guy who co-created the original Doom at id Software. He also worked on Quake, Doom 3, and worked on the game engine that would eventually power Half-Life and Call of Duty. Then he got bored of video games and decided to get into the VR business, joining Oculus VR in 2013 as their Chief Technical Officer (CTO)....

The Elder Scrolls: Blades is celebrating the Witching season with the game’s 1.4 patch. This ghoulish update transforms the town into a complete spook-fest with the help of thematic decor and new spine-tingling questlines. Patch 1.4 also revamps nearly the entire spell collection permanently in ode to the witchiest of the Blades throughout Tamriel. The Witches Festival Blades are welcomed back in-game with an all-new dark and foreboding nighttime view of the town....

Maximum Games has announced The Golf Club 2, a sequel to 2014’s golf sim heading to PS4, Xbox One and PC in early 2017. The new game promises a brand new Career Mode that lets players work their way up the ranks to becoming a pro by gaining fame, along with a “robust online mutiplayer mode, highly detailed course created, cutting-edge swing mechanics, and stunning visuals”. New environments are promised, too, along with “limitless customisation” that gives players the opportunity to fully customise their golfer’s appearance and clothing....

Taipei Game Show is right around the corner, and with it comes news and brand new previews of the most anticipated games of the year. A number of huge names in the industry are expected to show up to the four day exhibition, including Sony, who won’t be appearing at E3 this year. Fire Emblem Engage was announced earlier this week and fans have been reacting to the new protagonist. According to the official Nintendo website, you’ll play as Alear “who awakens a thousand years after the war [between Elyos and the Fell Dragon] with no memory of their past”. Perhaps that’s the in-game explanation for the odd fashion choices for Alear, then. Alear has a very distinct blue and red colour palette. From the two-toned hair, to the two-toned clothes, to the two-toned heterochromatic eyes… They definitely stand out from the rest of the cast for their anime-heavy design, and that’s saying something when they’re in a Fire Emblem game....

When BBC One cancelled its flagship film programme in December 2018, it created a bit of a gap in the TV schedules. Originally hosted by Barry Norman and later ably helmed by Jonathan Ross and Claudia Winkleman, the aptly named Film…programme comprised reviews, behind-the-scenes items, and interviews related to current releases. Broadcasting to the nation from 1972 up until last year, the programme was essentially the definitive article when it came to film criticism on UK television....

Centered in Mexico City, The Romanoffs finally returns to its “globetrotting” ambitions, most prevalent in the series’ French-set first episode “The Violet Hour.” “Panorama” showcases its exotic setting far more than that episode did, showing off Mexico City tourist attractions and making the city the most interesting character of the 80-minute episode....

The Uncharted movie adaptation has hit yet another stumbling block, with director Shawn Levy leaving the project to work on a video game-inspired movie called Free Guy. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Spider-Man actor Tom Holland is still set to play the younger Nathan Drake in the film, although Sony is now obviously once again hunting for a new director. It’s a pity too, as Levy previously said that he had received some positive feedback from developer Naughty Dog on his vision for the film....

Triss of The Witcher is actually a really interesting character, and hopefully, we see that reflected in the show available to stream on Netflix. While many fans of the games might have their own reasons to like Triss, there are some things about her that not everyone knows, especially since there’s an entire book series in which she’s something of a main character. Far from just a really interesting choice for a love interest for Geralt, our protagonist, Triss has a pretty decently fleshed out personality and backstory all her own, forging a life for herself as a powerful sorceress....

A new mod has been posted to The Witcher 3’s NexusMods page, designed to carry over Geralt and Yennefer’s faces (as portrayed by Henry Cavill and Anya Chalotra, respectively) from Netflix’s recently released The Witcher series into the game. The show has been enthusiastically received by Witcher fans, and tens of thousands of players have already begun to replay The Witcher 3 after finishing season 1 of the show, leading some to add Cavill and Chalotra’s faces into the game as well....

A stunt team made up of folk who worked on the likes of The Walking Dead and numerous Marvel superhero films have paid tribute to Super Smash Bros. in a new video. Released to coincide with the launch of Nintendo Switch-exclusive Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the video depicts four stuntmen scrapping it out as Captain Falcon, Link, Mario, and Ness. It’s about as mental as you’d expect. You’ll spot a few signature moves in there too, such as the Falcon Punch and Mario’s fireball....

Bossa Studios has announced that Surgeon Simulator 2: Access All Areas will be available on Xbox Game Pass when it launches on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One next month. The announcement on the Xbox Wire reveals the console release will include three main game modes. These include the story-based Campaign Mode as written by Rhianna Pratchett, a competitive Party Mode and the sandbox Creation Mode. The last one will allow players to create their own levels with an in-game editor and share them with friends....

The first season of Ms. Marvel just ended, with episode 6 featuring plenty of shocking developments that are set to turn the MCU on its head. Alongside a surprise appearance from Captain Marvel, the end of the show pretty much just confirmed the existence of two really big things. Are Mutants Canon in the MCU? Danish esports organization Team Singularity revealed to the public that they would be introducing a Swedish Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) Academy Team. The team is comprised of five professional Swedish CS: GO players and a Bulgarian coach to lead the team. Team Singularity’s CEO, Atle S.
