The Last of Us II is on the horizon, and we couldn’t be more excited. As with any insanely hyped video game, theories have abounded on the internet. Some of these theories are fun and interesting, and we absolutely love discussing them. Some are horrid and should never see the light of day again. Unfortunately, we’re here to dig them up, so they will see the light of day again. But after THAT, they should never be mentioned again....

Sony has announced that the PlayStation 4 remake of MediEvil will be released in 2019. The news was confirmed in a new trailer for the upcoming platforming title, and it looks pretty much as you’d expect from a modern version of MediEvil. There’s comparison shots between the PlayStation original and the remake, so you get a good idea of how the visuals have been spruced up. Sadly we didn’t get a concrete release date, although hopefully Sony will share more information soon....

The Jackbox Party Pack 9, the next in the series of party games, now has a release date: 20th October. It’s set for release on “major digital platforms” and includes new features, like being able to kick out players from the lobby and during games to ensure live games are kept safe. The final character in the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighters Pass will be revealed in a few days, as Masahiro Sakurai is hosting a livestream on Thursday for the next DLC character in the game. Sakurai announced that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate would be receiving six DLC characters before the game was released, the first of which was Piranha Plant. The next five characters were planned to be released over the course of 2019 and into February 2020 and were sold together as part of a Fighters Pass....

One of the drastically changed aspects of the Diablo series going into Diablo 3 is how health and healing work. In the debut gameplay, released months back, you could see your character heal damage by collecting red orbs that would refill your health meter gradually. Obviously, this was much to the chagrin of hardcore potion-chugging players of the series. To clarify the situation Blizzard has released details on how the healing works in Diablo III, which could be met with some happiness or more groans....

The Sims 4: Vampires is a game pack that was meant for players who want to do nothing more but test their limits with this titular supernatural creature type. This means that you’ll definitely need that game pack installed if you want vampire Sims - conversely, if you really hate the idea, not installing Vampires means you’ll never have to deal with them. The Witcher 3’s next-gen update on PC has received a hotfix to address a number of the issues that accompanied the launch. According to the patch notes, the hotfix should “improve overall stability and performance of the game, and fix GOG & Steam overlays.” Stability and performance improvements is of course the catch-all phrase used by developers to group a large number of small fixes, but we do know from reports of PC users that problems included framerate drops and slow texture loading....

Nintendo has confirmed that the upcoming Pokemon Let’s Go! Pikachu and Pokemon Let’s Go! Eevee will support Switch’s paid-for online subscription. Essentially, if you want to slug it out online in Pokemon battles or trade the little blighters, you’ll need to pony up the cash for Ninty’s September-launching service. In addition, the statement issued to Eurogamer reveals that Pokemon Let’s Go will slim down the series’ traditional online elements. The global trading system has been given the boot, as has the Battle Spot feature....

Tekken X Street Fighter still has around 40 staff working on the title, but work on Tekken 7 is taking priority, series creator Katsuhiro Harada has told Polygon. The title was announced alongside Street Fighter X Tekken back in 2010, with that game launching in 2012. Bandai Namco’s title is still nowhere to be seen. “It’s very difficult to talk about,” he explained. “Obviously, I had originally planned to release it much earlier than we’re currently looking at....

One of the most notable differences between Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War is their pistols.
