Late yesterday, Netflix dropped a fresh look at its upcoming horror anthology series. Dubbed Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities, the eight-episode show will be helmed by a host of different directors who will have creative control and “ownership” over each of their respective projects. Much like other anthology series like Black Mirror, for instance, each episode will have its own self-contained story. The spine-chilling series will debut on the popular streaming service this October as a special four-day Halloween event....
Take-Two Interactive—the parent company of 2K Games and Rockstar—has confirmed over the weekend that it has entered into talks to aquire long-time British games studio Codemasters. If the deal goes ahead, the studio is set to purchase the entire issued share capital of the racing publisher and developer behind such games as the F1 licensed games and, most recently, DiRT 5 for 485 pence per share, with 120 of that value in cash and the rest in Take-Two Interactive shares....

Tekken boss Katsuhiro Harada has given a new update on Tekken X Street Fighter, clarifying the crossover beat-em-up is still on hold following a mistranslation of comments from earlier this week. The original comments came as part of the latest episode of the producer’s regular Harada’s Bar broadcast, in which he revealed that production was only around a third of the way through. “Yeah, development stopped but we got about 30% done,” he said....

Supermassive Games has announced that Jessie Buckley will star in its upcoming The Dark Pictures: The Devil in Me. The studio made the announcement on the game’s official Twitter account today. I’ve been playing Apex Legends since its launch. I was drawn into the game due to it being a part of the Titanfall universe. The game’s developer, Respawn Entertainment, at least for me, achieved success with its prior releases of Titanfall 1 & 2. So, why wouldn’t I want to be a part of a battle royale style of game elicited those same elements? And from that, I’ve played just about every night, journeying through the first season as well as the recent limited time event....
