SNK has unveiled the next fighter in its ever growing roster for next year’s The King of Fighters XV as Angel. Angel is another series veteran, having featured in a number of KOF titles since The King of Fighters 2001. She’s a member of the secret organisation NESTS. They’re a set of criminals, many of them modified superhumans, who act as frequent antagonists in the long running series. She’s described as playful, but with the nickname ‘Knockout Free Spirit’ she’s ready to fight at a moment’s notice....

Movie studio MGM Studios has announced that the next upcoming Tomb Raider movie has a new director and writer in the form of Lovecraft Country showrunner Misha Green. According to data released by ELSPA/GfK Chart-Track, Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 ended 2009 as the year’s best-selling video game. Capcom has revealed more details on the final DLC roster addition for Street Fighter V, showcasing Luke in a Fall Update broadcast overnight. A kickboxer, Luke’s backstory sees a dramatic childhood event involving his father inspire him to become a fighter. He joins the military to do so, which appears to bring him across the path of Street Fighter stalwart, Guile. The rest of Luke’s story is being saved for the game, but we do know what he’s like to play....

Supermassive Games has unveiled a small clip for its new game The Quarry. While only a short little snippet so far, the developer has a full reveal up its sleeves, which is planned for tomorrow. “What doesn’t kill you will make you stronger,” the developer teased on Twitter earlier today. But other than that incredibly ominous line, details on The Quarry are currently pretty sparce, with Supermassive Games only saying its “all-new horror experience” will come this summer....

Sega has lifted the wraps off yet another stage for Team Sonic Racing, this time scrutinizing the Frozen Junkyard map. The chilly track features a bunch of obstacles to overcome, one of the most prominent being laser beams shot out of a huge Death Egg robot. The track also features a soundtrack composed by Jun Senoue, who teamed up with Danger Kids’ Tyler Smyth for the score. The arcade version of Tekken 7 will be playable in the UK for the first time at this month’s MCM, Bandai Namco has announced. The fighter will be joined by the first hands-on of God Eater 2: Rage Burst, and playable demos of Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade, One Piece Burning Blood, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven and Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4. Atari has announced that psychedelic arcade shooter Tempest 4000 will land on the Nintendo Switch & Atari VCS in March. The game is a sequel to classic Atari arcade game Tempest from 1981. Keeping a similar wireframe aesthetic, but adding a ton of new features, the sequel brought the game to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 back in 2018. Now it’s the Nintendo Switch’s turn, and development is being handled by Llamasoft who’s headed up by legendary British video game designer Jeff Minter....
