This Supergirl review contains spoilers. Whereas last week’s 100th episode celebration reminded us of all the things we love about Supergirl, “The Bodyguard” unfortunately does the exact opposite. A fairly dull hour that doubles down on Season 5’s worst narrative tendencies, there’s little about this episode that feels worth remembering or was even that fun to watch in the moment. Terminator: Resistance, a new video game inspired by James Cameron’s robo-dystopia action series, will come to PC and consoles in November. Developed by Teyon and published by Reef Entertainment, Terminator: Resistance’s story is set 30 years after Judgement Day. Private Jacob Rivers is a member of the Resistance Pacific Division in the futuristic ruins of Los Angeles. Skynet is after him, and depending on who and what Rivers prioritises in the desperate game of survival against the AI, there will be different endings....

To celebrate the launch of the Transformers: Dark of the Moon game, Activision has just released a new trailer that highlights some of the game’s sure to be numerous combat sequences. Featuring set pieces that are standalone, and some that are seen in the Dark of the Moon film, this trailer carries a similar aesthetic to High Moon Studios’ previous Transformers game — which should make many gamers happy. While Dark of the Moon really slipped under the radar — releasing on a Wednesday rather than the traditional Tuesday — there is still some interest in the game based solely on the performance of Transformers: War for Cybertron....
It looks as though the reported Gran Turismo movie is really happening, and there’s fresh details to boot. Deadline has updated their original report from last month with some fresh details. They confirm that indeed, District 9’s Neill Blomkamp has been successfully brought on board to direct. In fact, Neill confirmed the news himself via his own Twitter account, retweeting a post from The Game Awards. On top of that, we now also have a release date and the first plot details of the movie....
Pokémon has come a long way since the original 151-Pokémon line-up. Many of those who started as stand-alone Pokémon acquired evolutions, pre-evolutions, and even mega-evolutions in later generations. However, there are still a few that remain standing alone. It has been confirmed that Gen One’s Farfetch’d is finally receiving an evolutionary form (Sirfetch’d) in Pokémon’s upcoming Switch games Sword and Shield. That leaves only three original Pokémon without evolutionary counterparts; Ditto, Tauros, and Lapras....

Thunderful Publishing’s SteamWorld franchise will return in 2023 with SteamWorld Build, the first fully-3D title in the SteamWorld series. One part SimCity, one part Dungeon Keeper, and one part SteamWorld Dig, the new title looks to retain the steampunk charm for which the series is celebrated while simultaneously taking it in a new direction. This is one of several SteamWorld games said to be in development, and the change in approach will be helmed by indie development outfit The Station, the first team to develop a game in the SteamWorld saga aside from Thunderful Development, which was previously known as Image & Form....
Ready at Dawn, creator of PS4 visual spectacle The Order: 1866, will announce its new game next week, GameStop COO Tony Bartel revealed during a first-quarter investor call. And how does GameStop know this? The retailer’s publishing arm GameTrust is handling the game. Expect the title to launch on multiple platforms. Last summer CEO Paul Sams said the studio’s tech had been updated. “Our technology now supports multiplatform development,” he said....
The Outer Worlds Peril on Gorgon DLC launches in September, and takes the Stranger to an asteroid to discover the mysterious origins of Adrena-Time. It was announced in yesterday’s Xbox Games Showcase, and promises a “brand-new noir-tinged adventure” which continues the irreverence and freedom of the original game. New weapons, armor, perks, and flaws are available on the asteroid, as players delve into an abandoned research station which has caught the attention of the villainous corporations in Halcyon....
Earlier this month, developer Supermassive released its sumputous slasher horror The Quarry on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC in collaboration with publisher 2K Games - but a new report has claimed the game was originally in development as a “signature” title for Stadia, before Google made the decision to downsize its gaming operation and send the project elsewhere. Stadia, of course, launched to much fanfare in 2019, and part of Google’s promise to early adopters was that the service would bring its own console-like exclusives from both first- and third-parties....
For Gideon Raff’s thriller The Red Sea Diving Resort, now streaming on Netflix, the writing is on the wall from the get-go. Opening in the early 1980s, in rural Ethiopia, we find a group of Mossad agents shepherding a handful of Ethiopian Jews out of the country and to the perceived safety of Jerusalem. As the truck prepares to leave, one agent, Ari Levinson (played by America’s now-departed ass, Chris Evans), realises there’s a child missing and sprints back through the fields to rescue an oblivious young boy....
The Resident Evil 2 remake is almost upon us. It looks like it will be a lot longer than its predecessor. At a recent event held in Dubai, as translated by Wccftech, game director Kazunori Kadoi and producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi revealed the remake’s length. Leon Kennedy’s and Claire Redfield’s campaigns will be about 10 hours each. The original Resident Evil 2 wasn’t that long of a game. The popular site HowLongToBeat averages Resident Evil 2’s playtime as five and a half hours....
Recently, Blizzard announced that Hearthstone would be getting a brand new expansion. Although we were not given any more details to work with, the reveal was supposed to take place today, March 15. Ever since the new expansion was announced, fans have been guessing what this could entail and what theme could be this time. Unfortunately, it has been announced that the Hearthstone expansion reveal has been delayed. We will have to wait a little longer to see what Blizzard has in store....
Telltale Games has released an emotionally-charged trailer for The Walking Dead: The Final Season, which sees Clementine reflecting on her time with Lee. You know, back when she was a wee girl more concerned with her hair being smelly than stabbing zombies in the head. The Final Season catches up with Clem as she’s been out on the road for years, which has turned her into a hardened survivor of the apocalypse....
