The Legend of Zelda is a long-running game series with a history of incredible and groundbreaking titles, all the way back to its very first entry. Whether the games see players exploring the land of Hyrule, sailing the open ocean, or investigating mysterious other-worlds, they’re always a wonderful experience. It’s no surprise, then, that Zelda games tend to get good scores from all manner of critics writing for all manner of publications....

Paramount’s planned trilogy of new Terminator films, which began with Terminator Genisys last summer, looks dead in the water after the second film was pulled from its May 19, 2017 release date with no new date given. Not only has Terminator 2 been dropped from Paramount’s release schedule, but its May 19 date has been taken by Baywatch, starring Dwayne Johnson. Genisys made only $89 million at the US box office, saved somewhat by oversees markets which helped the movie reach $440,603,537 internationally....

Nintendo enjoyed a pretty incredible Thanksgiving weekend in terms of sales, and the Switch is now the best-selling Nintendo console of all-time over that period. As Christmas fast approaches, there is an awful lot of buzz surrounding the Nintendo Switch, and why wouldn’t there be? It’s a terrific console with some great games recently released, and another big title on the horizon. Most Switch owners are currently fawning over Pokémon: Let’s Go, and before they know it, Super Smash Bros....

Following a very public deal with Sky that will see its customers able to access the streaming service on Sky Q and NOW TV, Disney+ has finally confirmed that over 600 episodes of The Simpsons will be available to stream in the UK. The news was received well by potential Disney+ UK subscribers, and those who had already been tempted by the reduced annual subscription offer advertised by the streamer here back in late February....

Larry Hryb aka Major Nelson has announced on his blog that Spotify is now available to download on the Xbox One. The release of the Spotify app means that Xbox One owners can now play music and podcasts from their Spotify library while they game on their console. The Spotify app can be downloaded from the Xbox Store now, and enables you to play your favourite albums, podcasts and playlists from your Spotify account....

The Surge 2 is a Souls-like game, and as such, it features a series of increasingly-difficult boss battles for players to overcome. In the early portions of the game, one of the toughest boss fights players will have is against Little Johnny, who pilots a tentacled mech and can deal an absurd amount of damage to the player. This Surge 2 boss fight isn’t easy, but there are strategies players can employ to make things a bit less stressful on themselves....

Nintendo announced during its latest earnings call that the Switch has now sold over 34.74 million units worldwide. The hardware manufacturer shifted 2.47 million Switch consoles during the three-month period ended March 31, as well as 23.91 million software units. 18 million Switch’s are expected to be sold during the period April 2019 – March 2020, the Big N added. Elsewhere, Ninty confirmed sales figures for a number of its biggest first-party releases....

2014 brought gamers one of the most critically acclaimed games of all time, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. To this day, CD Projekt Red’s title is regarded as the benchmark for action RPG titles. Street Fighter V will release on PS4 and PC this financial year, Capcom has confirmed, with the publisher expecting to sell 2 million units across both platforms by March 31, 2016. A release window for the game was revealed in the publisher’s latest financial results, where it confirmed that it had plans “to launch more titles in popular game series” during the current financial year, including Street Fighter V. It remains unclear, however, whether the game will release this side of Christmas or in early 2016....

At the Gamescom 2019 conference, Den Of Geek popped over to the Dotemu booth to see what the French developers had been cooking up with Streets Of Rage 4 in collaboration with Lizardcube and Guard Crush Games. The booth had been decked out like an 80s bedroom, complete with Predator and Return Of The Jedi Posters. Of course, this game follows in the footsteps of Sega’s original trilogy of Streets Of Rage titles, which launched on the Sega Mega Drive back in the 90s....

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate looks set to be more accessible to casual players, says game director Masahiro Sakurai, who admitted that GameCube brawler Super Smash Bros. Melee was a bit too much on the technical side. Melee obviously had a very strong presence in the competitive fighting game scene, and was used for years in various tournaments around the globe. However, Sakurai-san noted that the concept behind eSports does not marry well with Nintendo’s own philosophy when it comes to gaming....

This review contains spoilers. 14.9 The Spear This mid-season finale starts feeling like a slow burn, bringing together various elements introduced in previous episodes and tying them back with the expected confrontation with Michael. Jack is still dealing with the anxiety of having been brought back to life, while Cas continues to hold his deal with The Empty secret. This episode wraps up the previous eight episodes nicely… in a package that contains an unavoidable destiny....

This Supernatural review contains spoilers. Supernatural Season 15 Episode 10 This episode opens on a monster version of Fight Club with classical music playing over it. It’s corny and it means to be — amid the bloodshed, it’s setting the tone that this episode won’t be a serious one. Although the beginning is vicious, we soon find out our shish-kebabed werewolf is not dead, and the goal for the Winchesters is to investigate the monster fight club....

Some of you may know the band Freezepop from their appearance in various rhythm-based games, such as the Rock Band series, Amplitude, and FreQuency - or you may just know them from being a native of Boston. Koei Tecmo’s Romance of the Three Kingdoms series (based on Luo Guanzhong’s novel San Guo Yan Yi) has been around since the 80s.
