Today marks the 11th annual North Texas Giving Day and the start of what will hopefully be an ongoing collaboration between esports organization Envy Gaming and Canine Companions for Independence. As one of the worlds largest esports organizations and owners of the Dallas Fuel franchise, the organization will enlist the help of its professional players in an effort to support the important role that service dogs play every day. “With an esports industry audience of more than 60 million people in North America, we’re very optimistic that our partnership with Canine Companions will reveal that esports is a great way for nonprofits to connect with Millennials and Generation Z,” said Mike Rufail, the owner and CEO of the organization....

Bandai Namco confirmed today that Tekken 7, originally slated for an early 2017 launch window, will be released on PC, PlayStation4 and Xbox One on June 2, 2017. Bandai Namco detailed the game’s season pass and pre-order incentives. A vampire character called Eliza will be available as a download for those who decide to reserve the game and the season pass will contain new stages, characters, costumes and even a new game mode....

The Tekken series has always been a fan-favorite, giving me my first exposure to good 3D fighting. When Tekken Tag Tournament released, it gave me a peek at more hectic and fun matches, so why wouldn’t Namco-Bandai release Tekken Tag Tournament 2? This past decade has seen an incredible evolution within the video game medium. Gameplay, graphics, and storytelling have all improved leaps and bounds. Skyrim has some pretty imaginative enemies. You can fight dragons, but they get pretty boring and repetitive after a while. Or, you can go and find yourself some giants or trolls, that might be more ferocious than they look like. Either way, there are tons of enemies to choose from, if you can afford to choose. While Skyrim isn’t a horror game, it’s hard to deny some of its enemies look terrifying....

Animated Star Wars fans rejoice as a brand new trailer for the second season of The Bad Batch has just been released. The video opens with a beach chase scene and giant crabs, adding a splash of humor while showing off a confident older Omega – it will be awesome to see what she is capable of with additional training and experience. The upcoming Xbox reboot of Perfect Dark appears to have lost its game director, according to their LinkedIn profile. As spotted by Resetera forum member Klobrille, Dan Neuburger appears to have departed The Initiative last month. Video Games Chronicle notes Neuburger’s profile page states he’s now open to work in game, creative and design director roles. Neuburger had been aboard The Initiative since 2018, coming from Tomb Raider developer Crystal Dynamics....

Oddball mystery-crossed-with-a-life-sim The Good Life has a new publisher and a small delay, developer Hidetake “Swery65” Suehiro has announced. As per an announcement and an update to the game’s Kickstarter backers, Playism will now be taking the reins of publishing duties over from The Irregular Corporation, with the update saying of Playism “The decision to part ways was mutual. The first DLC for Marvel’s Midnight Suns has received its official release date, with the Merc with a Mouth, Deadpool, set to come to the strategy game on Jan. 26, 2023. The DLC, which is included with the game’s season pass, will not only have a new playable character complete with his own set of cards but is also set to include some key new features to the base game....

The next Total War game might be set in Ancient Greece, according to a photo snapped of PC Gamer magazine (via VG 247). Reddit user Mavus uploaded a photo they took of PC Gamer magazine stocked in a shop. The cover shows a ‘world exclusive’ report that the next Total War game is titled ‘Troy: A Total War Saga’.
