The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR - developer Supermassive Games’ rail-shooter spin on its acclaimed narrative horror series - has been confirmed as a launch day title for Sony’s PlayStation VR 2, meaning it’ll arrive on 22nd February next year. Switchback isn’t Supermassive’s first foray into spooky VR, of course; it previously adapted its cinematic horror game Until Dawn into both a VR prequel and a gaudy, rollercoaster-like rail shooter called Rush of Blood....
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will have to wait until a later time to assemble on streamer Disney+ than previously thought. The list of programming set to premiere on Disney+ in August has been released, and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was notably absent; a fact that, as sources confirm to outlets such as EW and TV Line, indicates that the Marvel series is off the slate for that month....
Last month, it was all about the barbarians. But the sixth and final DLC for Civilization VI – New Frontier Pass was revealed earlier today. The Portugal Pack launches for Civilization VI on March 25, and it offers a new civilization to cultivate, as well as an additional leader. But that’s not all. The pack also includes new World Wonders and a map script. And also zombies. Yes, the game will allow you to to take on the undead in the new Zombie Defense mode....

Reboots, prequels, and requels (it’s a thing, folks!) are very much à la mode right now, and one of the best examples of this can be found in the beloved slasher series, Scream. In fact, as is par for the course for such a meta franchise, Paramount Pictures’ latest horror installment actually riffs on this very concept in its own fourth wall-breaking fashion. Skewering all preconceived notions right in the eye and ripping up the rulebook in signature style is what Scream is all about, and thanks to the Halloween buzz we’re in, and probably due to how genuinely top-notch the recent reboot was, Scream (2022) is enjoying a second wind on streaming at the moment....
When The Legend of Dragoon released for the PlayStation back in 1999, it was well-received by both critics and players alike. This fresh role-playing title, unfortunately, went slightly under the radar with many, and never received a sequel despite creating an interesting universe that warranted one. There are still those that remember their experience with The Legend of Dragoon, however, and they are hopeful the series will receive the attention it deserves through a possible remaster or remake....

The Outer Worlds is Obsidian Entertainment’s new first-person RPG, a Fallout-esque sci-fi adventure with retro-future tech and many colorful worlds to explore. Set in a time where Earth’s ruthless Megacorporations are dividing up the galaxy, terra-forming and settling new and alien worlds, players will take the role of a frozen colonist woken by chance to find their place among The Outer Worlds. As with any good RPG, attributes are at the beating heart of The Outer Worlds’ character customization system....
Praise be: The Outer Worlds is free of bugs (except the ones you shoot in the face). If you’ve already checked out the review you’ll know it’s pretty much a less sprawling Fallout game, and that should raise suspicions of it being more than a little bit broken. It’s not. Across my two playthroughs, it proved to be remarkably solid. We can discuss that in detail a bit later, but considering “Fallout-inspired” and “Obsidian,” I figured it was probably best to get that out of the way as quickly as possible....
Originally released in December 2018, the Playstation Classic was made to compete with the then-amazingly-popular NES Classic and SNES Classic. It was originally priced at $99.99, which was a bit much to ask for a plug-and-play console that didn’t include many of the original system’s most-iconic games, such as Crash Bandicoot, Tomb Raider, and Grand Turismo. But with it going for around $36 now, it might be worth picking up, since that’s cheaper than you can get a lot of original PSOne games for....

Maxis, the team at EA behind The Sims franchise, has announced that they will be celebrating the release of The Sims 4: Discover University by partnering with Ironhack to offer more than 400 scholarships across Ironhack’s 9 campuses around Europe and The Americas. Discover University was released back in mid-November for PC and Mac and will be coming to console on December 17. The much-anticipated expansion allows your sims, of young-adult or older, to go to either Britechester, a more traditional arts and humanities specializing campus, or Foxbury, a more modern institution with a science and technology focus....

The Terror Season 2 Episode 4 The Terror: Infamy finally starts to come together as a horror show in “The Weak Are Meat,” a grotesque episode that sees several characters fall victim to the yurei haunting Chester Nakayama and the rest of the Terminal Islanders. While the horror continues to lean a bit too much on the gore factor, the episode also ups the supernatural element that has been missing from the series since its second season began....

The first 15 minutes of The Walking Dead: The Final Season have been released by developer Telltale Games, at right from the start players are given something serious to mull over: Goofball or Shitbird? Here, we find Clementine and AJ on the hunt for supplies after a brief car journey, although it’s not long before the duo stumble across some shambling walkers to stab in the head. It all looks very Walking Dead-y as you’d expect, which is no bad thing, and the video ends with a pretty tense moment....
