The New Xbox One Experience update has begun rolling out across the globe, but there’s a chance you may not get it at the same time as other users, Microsoft has warned. The NPD Group has revealed that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has set a new record for the fastest-selling console exclusive in video game history, topping Halo: Reach’s previous record back in 2010. The Nintendo Switch-exclusive fighting game managed to top the US software charts during its launch month of December, and came out as the fifth best-selling game of 2018 to boot. ‘Super Smash Bros. In a relatively surprising move Team Fortress 2 is revamping the system in which players acquire in-game items. While I was more than comfortable with initial system in which you acquired items as you completed achievements, the new system does allow a simpler way to acquire hats and other items for classes you might not play. It seems like the new changes are focusing on improving the system even more for casual players....
Creature-collecting MMO Temtem has recieved a gameplay overview video ahead of the game’s early access PlayStation 5 release next week. The PS5 early access version will feature four islands with 30 hours of story content, 100 unique Temtem and cross-play and co-op with the PC version, allowing players the ability to team up with their friends as they hunt and collect more monsters. During the early access phase, developer Crema also promises to add two more additional islands, at least 61 more Temtem, an Auction/Trading House, clan PvP and an all new super hard game mode known as Nuzlocke....

If you jumped on to browse Game Pass and find something new to play last weekend, The Ascent may have caught your eye. The neon-drenched streets of Veles offer a Bladerunner aesthetic that is more than enough to make any cyberpunk fan quake with excitement. As a game, it’s pretty fun too. We reviewed it and found the overall experience to be polished, and a good value.
