Ubisoft’s upcoming movie adaptation of Tom Clancy’s The Division has found a director in Deadpool 2’s David Leitch, reports Variety. Leitch, who recently finished helming the irreverent superhero flick and is also on board for Fast & Furious spin-off Hobbs and Shaw, has signed on to direct The Division and will begin prep once production has kicked off for Dwayne Johnson’s bromance-fuelled actioner this fall. The Division will be co-produced by Leitch and Kelly McCormick, and will star Jake Gyllenhaal (who has previously starred in a video game movie with Ubisoft’s Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time) and Jessica Chastain....

Naughty Dog creative director Neil Druckmann announced that The Last of Us Part 2 has gone gold ahead of its June launch date (via VG247). Speaking in a post to Instagram, Druckmann delivered the good news. “Back in April we told you that due to the state of the world, logistics way beyond our control, we had to push the game, which gave us a few extra weeks to polish and now that we have a release date we have submitted our gold master,” he said....

LucasArts and Telltale Games have released a trailer for the upcoming Tales of Monkey Island. The five-episode saga for Wii and PC is due to begin in a few weeks and the trailer shows the game’s hero Guybrush as he attempts to rescue his wife Elaine form the clutches of the evil pirate LeChuck.LucasArts will also release The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition, a reimagined version of the classic 1990 adventure game, for PC and Xbox LIVE Arcade later in the summer....

Tekken is legendary for it’s over -the-top badass characters, and though this newest challenger may not be Solid Snake, he is certainly no exception. During the Tekken World Tour Finals today, a terrifying new character for Tekken 7 was introduced: Muay Thai champion Fahkumram. Fahkumram joins the cast of Tekken 7 this spring as part of Season 3’s DLC, along with a new stage. Tetris 99’s next event will be of the spooky and seasonal sort as it crosses over with Luigi’s Mansion 3 (via Eurogamer).
