For longtime fans of the Stronghold franchise, the first thing you’ll notice about this new incarnation is that it’s far more vibrant than we’re used to. Gone are the bland beiges and gloomy greys to make way for luscious greens and vibrant decor as the setting moves to 3rd century BC China. Stronghold Warlords goes back to the roots of the franchise, which it firmly places down in a new location, bringing new units, new ideas and a new lease on life to the series.

Not much more is known about the system at this point, apart from the fact that it will offer strategic advantages, unique perks, and upgradable abilities. However, I’m hoping we see different warlords react in different ways to what is asked of them, with not everyone being so keen to help so quickly.
