The Big N has confirmed on Twitter that Super Mario Odyssey’s upcoming VR update will include a theatre mode for Mazza’s celebrated platformer.

Theatre mode will allow you to have a gander at the game’s cutscenes using the VR  Goggles, which to be fair, sounds like a lot of fun. Mario’s cap-lobbing adventurer had some joyous cinematics, so I’d definitely be up for this.

In case you missed it, the VR update for Super Mario Odyssey includes a number of mini-challenges for players to tackle, which take place across select Kingdoms. Zelda: Breath of the Wild is also getting VR support, although this one will let you play the whole thing in VR.

You can see the theatre mode in the Tweet below, although don’t get too excited unless you can read Japanese. Not played Super Mario Odyssey? Let Colm’s review convince you why you need it in your life.
