Streamer Sweet Anita has an…interesting…relationship with dick pics, according to a recent Twitch clip. It’s pretty funny, but there’s a pretty serious reason behind it.
If you don’t know, Anita has Tourette Syndrome. That’s the syndrome that is generally associated with people blurting out profanities, insults, and similarly inappropriate words and phrases - a feature often present in Tourettes called coprolalia.
So yes, that’s what’s happening in this clip, where we gain insight into Anita’s usual routine upon being blessed with a dick pic.
“It may surprise you to know… I lick dick pics!” she proclaims with enthusiasm.
Perhaps she does actually perform this strange ritual in real life, but it’s somewhat more likely that we can attribute the statement to Terrence. That’s what she sometimes charmingly refers to her Tourette tics as - a kind of alter-ego who’s pretty much the biggest douche around but can be really funny.
Along with streaming her favorite games, Sweet Anita and other gamers with Tourettes like AnikiChad are doing a really great thing by raising awareness about Tourettes Syndrome - something which can be seriously debilitating at times.
Anita is refreshingly open about it, and has said that streaming has allowed her to “bolster her own confidence” around her condition. She has shared stories about her experiences living with Tourettes - some funny, some serious.
She doesn’t drive for fear of muscle tics that could result in an accident. She was almost prevented from boarding a flight because of her verbal and motor tics. And at one stage she was so triggered by bananas - of all things - that she would tic verbally so badly she would eventually start coughing up blood because of the strain on her esophagus.
