One can come up with excuses over whether a character was the real villain of a series or not, but there’s no denying that the Mishimas are the straight-up antagonists of the Tekken franchise. This family, comprising of Jinpachi, Heihachi, Kazuya, and Jin Kazama have all attempted and even succeeded in killing one another, and have caused numerous conflicts around the world.

In this list, we’ll be counting down the terrible things the Mishimas did to each other, as well as spare a few points to the injustices toward the people not included in their family. By and large, the Mishimas have reserved the worst in store for one another, and here are the 10 craziest things these men have done in the Tekken series.

10 Heihachi Killing His Wife

It was revealed in Tekken 7 that Heihachi wasn’t altogether an evil person when he confessed that he had killed his wife Kazumi only because she’d carried the devil gene. However, we saw in Tekken 4 how Heihachi had tried to get himself imbued with this gene, meaning he wasn’t really a good guy either.

Killing Kazumi also brought Heihachi’s family score to a complete perfect circle as he had earlier successfully managed to kill every other member of his family. Him taking his wife’s life solidified that Heihachi was pretty insane went wanting to achieve his goals.

9 Heihachi Sealing His Father To Death

Let’s continue recapping how Heihachi started off with his practice of disposing family members by pointing out he killed his own father. As it happened, Heihachi desired the Mishima Zaibatsu for himself, and took it by force.

His manner of wresting control had to do with apprehending Jinpachi and locking his old man away under the Honmaru mansion. The poor guy starved to death down there, all because Heihachi wanted control of the family company.

8 Heihachi Tossing Child Kazuya In The Volcano

It’s a pretty lame excuse the series came up with in Tekken 7 how Heihachi wanted to rid the world of the devil gene, which was why he tossed Kazuya into a volcano. After all, this was still a child no matter what gene he was supposed to be carrying.

Kazuya was also Heihachi’s own son, and tossing your own flesh and blood at such a young age into a volcano is something that is inconceivable for everyone - not so much for Heihachi, though, who continued his culling of the Mishima family here.

7 Jin Causing Wars Around The World

Tekken 6 attempted to put a spin in Jin’s character by making him a secret anti-hero who sought to bring out Azazel and kill him to end the devil gene. However, there’s still no escaping the fact that Jin did use the Mishima Zaibatsu to carry out wars around the world.

There were thousands of tragedies that happened solely because of Jin’s activities, and it sounds like a pretty crazy plan he had where he hoped Azazel would be lured into the open due to these horrid acts. All in all, he comes across more selfish than noble.

6 Kazuya Killing His Father And Grandfather

It wasn’t canonical where Kazuya killed Jinpachi, but we’ll be taking that into account since if that scenario indeed had played out then Kazuya would’ve done the same thing. Not only did he kill his grandfather, he laughed at it after the fact.

Within canon, Kazuya would finally beat his father in Tekken 7 where he rammed his fist so hard into Heihachi that it killed him. Kazuya then tossed Heihachi into a volcano once more, and even this was an event he took particular pleasure in.

5 Kazuya Throwing Heihachi To The Jacks (Who Survived)

It was pretty crazy to behold how Kazuya and Heihachi were shown working in tandem for once, as the opening of Tekken 5 saw them pair up to fight onslaught of Jacks. A cool fight scene followed, which ended when another surprise came our way.

At this point, Kazuya tossed his dad to the wolves as the Jacks overcame Heihachi while the former fled. The viewer’s amazement didn’t end there, though, as Heihachi somehow managed to survive the huge blast that followed and was only knocked out with no visible damage. These Mishima boys sure were made out of stern stuff.

4 Kazuya Influencing Jun Kazama

It’s still a mystery as to what happened between Jun Kazama and Kazuya, as it had been Jun’s mission to take Kazuya down in Tekken 2. The most acceptable storyline has been that Kazuya somehow managed to use the devil in him to influence Jun.

What followed was that Jun gave into these manipulations and ended up being pregnant with Jin. The powers of the devil are insane to behold in this regard, as it turned out there might not be any limits to the Mishima devil gene.

3 Heihachi Shooting Jin In The Head

This was where Heihachi finished off the family list within the chronology when he betrayed his grandson during the ending of Tekken 3. Jin learned the harsh truth of never trusting a Mishima, as he was gunned down by his grandfather with a clean headshot to end proceedings.

Sure, Jin was revived by the devil gene and attacked Heihachi after being resurrected, but as far as the latter was concerned he’d gone there with the sole intention of killing Jin. There’s really no defending a person who was willing to kill his own teenage grandson.

2 Jin Defeating Heihachi And Kazuya Together

What’s crazier than a grandfather trying to kill his grandson? That would be the father also trying to do the same, as Heihachi and Kazuya both attempted to take Jin out of the equation at the end of Tekken 4.

However, we’re highlighting the fact that Jin not only managed to survive, but handed such a brutal beatdown to the two Mishimas that they were left begging for their lives. This cemented how each Mishima in the family seemed to be stronger than the previous one.

1 Everything That Happened To Jinpachi

The stuff that Jinpachi had to go through sounds completely out of this world to comprehend, as he found out the harsh reality of being a Mishima. Firstly, he was imprisoned by his own son under Honmaru, where he died and was then taken over by a devilish entity that completely transformed him.

Jinpachi would then have his mind taken over by this entity and would go on the path to take over the world, but was confronted by his great-grandson, who defeated and ended Jinpachi along with the entity in control of him. All of this sounds completely messed up, and it was just that as Jinpachi got the worst deal out of all the members of this crazy family.
