Want your own toxic salamander? Then Toxolotl and Noxolotl are just the Temtem for you. Here’s where you can find them.

Axolotl are curious creatures. Called “walking fish” for their strange appearance and ability to walk on land, they’re actually amphibians and not fish. They’re also not toxic, generally speaking, but for some reason, they’ve been equated with venomous creatures when they appear in the world of Temtem.

As you might have guessed, Toxolotl is a Toxic-type Temtem that’s basically like a venomous amphibian. They can be pretty strong, too, so if you need a Toxic-type to round out your squad, then Toxolotl might be the Temtem for you.

Where To Find Toxolotl

Toxolotl can be found in just one place: the Xolot Reservoir on Tucma Island. It’s evolved form, Noxolotl, cannot be found anywhere in the wild so far, so if you want one for your Tempedia, you’ll have to evolve Toxolotl.

Toxolotl is fairly common in the northern part of the Xolot Reservoir. You shouldn’t have any trouble finding one, even if you’re just casually walking around.

How To Evolve Toxolotl To Noxolotl

As with most Temtem, evolution takes place a certain number of levels after that Temtem has been caught. In Toxolotl’s case, after it levels up 30 times it will evolve into Noxolotl.

What Can Noxolotl Do In Battle?

As a Toxic-type Temtem, Toxolotl and Noxolotl enjoy few advantages but also very few weaknesses. Toxic-types are strong against Water and Nature-types, but weak against Wind-types. Toxic Temtem also take half-damage from Earth, Digital, Crystal, and other Toxic techniques.

Both Toxolotl and Noxolotl have strong Special Attack, Defense, and HP, but have weak Special Defense. This makes them decent at stalling out against a physical attacker, especially considering the number types that deal half damage to Toxolotl. However, a relatively weak Stamina stat means that Toxolotl and Noxolotl won’t be able to attack with their strongest moves for very long. Instead, they’ll have to wait out their prey by relying on their damage-over-time poison effects and strong health to endure counterattacks.

Toxolotl is a great partner for Mental-type Temtem. Toxolotl’s trait, Power Nap, lets it recover 15% of HP after falling asleep, while Noxolotl eventually learns Hallucination, a powerful Toxic technique that gets more powerful when it has a Mental teammate.

Power Nap eventually becomes Trance after Toxolotl evolves into Noxolotl. This trait causes Noxolotl to fall asleep for 2 turns after it’s attacked, but it boosts Special Defense and Special Attack by two stages if Noxolotl’s HP is below 30%. If it survives those two turns, Noxolotl will hit especially hard.

If you can’t pair Toxolotl or Noxolotl with a Mental-Type Temtem, Toxic Farewell is going to be your preferred trait. This will poison attacking Temtem for three turns if Toxolotl or Noxolotl are knocked out.

Noxolotl is definitely a strong Temtem, bit its weak Speed stat and strong HP means that it really needs to try and drag out fights for as long as possible. Pair Noxolotl with a good healing Temtem, and you’ll be well on your way to victory.
