The tale of a young man in his early thirties finds himself climbing towards his freedom, the catch is that if he falls he dies. Catherine follows the story of Vincent Brooks as he finds himself at a point in his life were he must make choices that will affect his future indefinitely. The topic of morals and ethics carries a heavy burden on every player as they put their input on difficult questions and situations.
Catherine Full Body is the remake of the original game Catherine. While a few things made a wonderful difference with the addition of a new character or two, the outfits either left us unimpressed or amazed.
10 Best: Kathrine McBride
Kathrine McBride represents stability and commitment. While there hints in the text to make the player question her actions in the game, her overall look is strong and professional. Dressed in all black, Kathrine rocks each appearance in the game. Even in her Kathrine Alternate Ending red dress, she manages to look like a strong, confident woman and land herself as one of the best-dressed characters in the game.
9 Worst: Catherine
Naturally, Catherine, the opposite of Katherine, would fall under the worst dressed category. Our resident succubus appears to Vincent as a young, blonde poorly dressed woman. While Vincent had to pick his jaw off the floor after meeting her the first time, Catherine dresses provocatively which would make most people do a double-take. The two most eye-catching things about her look are her hair and the huge red bow on her top. In the time-traveling bride ending, she dawns a more beautiful look but her original outfit is a no for us.
8 Best: Erica Anderson
Some people may cringe at the brightly colored server’s uniform she will usually wear but we find it to add character. Erica is your almost typical waitress stereotype but in a good way. Sassy, flirty and caring, she rocks that uniform rain or shine.
Furthermore, her general look is attractive which helps amplify her clothes. Not many people could pull off a bright red hair color and to have it correlate with the red in her uniform is fate.
7 Worst: Boss
Demigod or not, Boss broke the one rule that applies to every being…don’t wear sunglasses indoors or at night. Aside from this crime against practicality and fashion, Boss is a sharp dresser in his suite but the fact that he will always be wearing his shades indoors at night puts him in the category of worst dressed. However we the fans do acknowledge why he wears them.
6 Best: Rin
Rin is a fan favorite not only for their talent, personality, story, and the deep meaning into their character but for their amazing design as well. For those who like to look into the fandom of this game, many players connected Rin’s design with a certain flag which already put a lot of love into this outfit choice.
Contrary to the other characters, Rin’s style is simple and elegant. While a little juvenile, what with it resembling a sailor uniform, the outfit comes across as a perfect fit for this amazing addition to the Catherine fandom.
5 Worst: Tobias Nebbins
As much as we love Toby as a character, his fashion sense leaves much to be desired. Toby works as a mechanic and we will almost always see him in his work uniform. Players can not help but care for the naive romantic as he makes his way at this early point in his life which takes him to some interesting places. On the other hand, since his whole wardrobe lacks any personality he, unfortunately, found himself on the worst dressed list.
4 Best: Jonathan Ariga
Jonny Ariga is the cool type that is very upfront with the world on his views and style. He dresses casually but the presentation is the best among his friend group. His look is also a nice playoff of his personality. While the wardrobe itself is not flashy it is enough to catch attention. The overall aesthetic is attractive and that is why we think he is one of the best-dressed men in this series.
3 Worst: Orlando Haddick
Orlando is a hipster gone wrong some might say. A red plaid fedora with a white and black ensemble. He more or less does not seem to care for committed relationships so his outfit could imply that he tries to play the field. However, this could just be his idea of dressing nice.
Catherine may not appear so at first, but the theme around the game is the struggles both men and women share in the dating world. Players can appreciate the role Orlando plays in the series with his story of being betrayed. Although, his outfit fell short on the spectrum.
2 Best: Trisha (AKA The Midnight Venus)
Trisha or Midnight Venus, by far has one of the greatest gimmick/ iconic outfits. Her outfit might not be practical but it is beautiful. Midnight Venus has two different outfits for her short appearances in the original and remake but both are stunning. How she styles her hair is also a treat. She is a character surrounded by intrigue and mystery but one thing the player knows for sure about this goddess of fertility is that she is one of the best dressed.
1 Worst: Vincent Brooks
Even though Vincent Brooks is the “protagonist”, he is not that attractive nor well dressed. Putting his personality and choices aside, Vincent looks like he has never brushed his hair and has permanent five o clock shadow. His dress is very sloppy with professional pants but a graphic tee. It is his struggle with modern social conventions and the relate-able reactions that make him a good character but certainly not his wardrobe.
