Warlords of New York adds something that Division 2 players have been requesting since the game’s release: a pettable dog.
And not just a dog. A puppy.
The Division 2 has always had dogs in it, but they were strays that ran away as soon as you approached them. You’d think that a lonely dog desperate for survival after the collapse of Western civilization would be eager to pair up with a well-armed human, but no, Division 2’s dogs are skittish beasts that flee at the first sign of people.
Well, no longer. Along with a bunch of new features and content, Warlords of New York has added a long-requested feature to Division 2. Finally, you can pet a dog.
The news was actually broken weeks ago by the famous Twitter account, @CanYouPetTheDog. They somehow got their hands on some pre-release game footage that proved you can indeed pet the dog, and he is such a good boy!
To find this dog, you won’t have to work very hard. The pupper is in Haven, the new home base location in New York and home of the Peacekeepers. After you enter Haven for the first time, you’ll be directed to speak to Paul Rhodes in his office off to the right. Instead, go left and head through a doorway until you reach Roy Benitez. Beside Benitez is a little dog house with an adorable German shepherd pup.
Just press X to interact. And by interact, we mean give him all the pets such an adorable pupper deserves.
Warlords of New York brings a bunch of changes to Division 2, including a brand new gear system, new attributes, new weapons and armor, new set bonuses and talents, and much more. There’s even a new progression system that reworks gear levels entirely.
Warlords of New York is available now.
