News broke late last week that every CW scripted drama currently filming had temporarily shut down production over coronavirus concerns. At the time, we wondered when this might begin affecting the scheduled airings of upcoming episodes, and it appears that it might be sooner than we anticipated as both Legends of Tomorrow and The Flash have rescheduled upcoming episodes. While no reason was given for the schedule change, and the episodes in question had long ago finished their principal photography, it’s possible that the ripple effect of the production shutdowns have affected the post-production schedules of these special effects heavy shows.
The first one affected is Legends of Tomorrow, which has temporarily removed two episodes from the schedule. Legends of Tomorrow season 5 episode 8, “Zari, not Zari” was scheduled to air on March 24. It has been replaced with a re-run of “A-head of Her Time.”
Here’s the official synopsis for “Zari, not Zari.”
And then Legends of Tomorrow season 5 episode 9, “The Great British Fake Off” had been scheduled for March 31. That has now been replaced by a re-run of “Mortal Khanbat.” Here’s the official synopsis for “The Great British Fake Off.”
The Flash has also been affected by the delay. As of this morning, the latest episode of The Flash with a confirmed airdate was for season 6 episode 16, “So Long and Goodnight,” which was scheduled to air on March 31. That episode has now been replaced with a re-run of “Grodd Friended Me.”

None of these episodes have new air dates yet, but we’re still well in advance of when The CW announces upcoming air date windows, so they’ll likely reappear on the schedule soon enough. We’ll let everyone know as more information becomes available. The GOOD news is that both shows have new episodes airing on Tuesday, March 17th before they take their hopefully brief breaks.
If nothing else, anyone who is self isolating (which is a good idea right about now) can use these extra two weeks to catch up on Legends of Tomorrow, which in recent seasons has become the most delightfully bonkers genre show on television. It will certainly help lift your spirits and keep you from getting bored.
