Hearthstone has just released a new Tavern Brawl called Road to Northrend, but some users are complaining that it’s crashing on their mobile devices. Even when players restart and try again, they keep having the same issue.

Road to Northrend is a dungeon crawl style brawl and a preview of the upcoming Galkrond’s Awakening Adventure. Players have to fight their way through eight different bosses while they make their way to Northrend before Rafaam can awaken Galakrond with the Plague of Undeath.

Dot Esports reports that many players experienced the same problem of the game crashing on their mobile devices, especially when coming up against the character, Bob.  Bob is known as the innkeeper from Hearthstone Battlegrounds and is not normally involved in the Tavern Brawls. The theory going around with players is that Bob is causing the game to crash because he’s doing something different.

Most of the complaints are coming from players using Apple devices like iPhones and iPads, with players speculating that the crash is similar to the crash that’s been affecting them for a month now. Even after uninstalling and reinstalling the game, the issue seems to persist. Some forum members say that it runs fine on their Android devices. Apart from mobile devices, players also have the option of downloading it for free on their PC.

This problem comes at a bad time because the Galakrond’s Awakening expansion is about to be released and Blizzard is trying to build as much hype as they can. The expansion will have four chapters, with one being unlocked every week. Players will be rewarded with thirty-five cards once they complete the full adventure.

Also as part of the hype, Blizzard has revealed four new character cards for the new expansion. So far there’s Grand Lackey Erkh, a four-mana neutral minion, Aeon Reaver, a six-mana dragon minion, Winged Guardian, a seven-mana beast, and Air Raid, a paladin.

Many games have the occasional glitch, and respectable developers are normally quick to sort them out or create an update. In this case, Blizzard has issued a statement saying, “We’ve temporarily disabled the Road to Northrend Tavern Brawl to address gameplay issues, and swapped in Pick a Hand, Any Hand for this week’s brawl. We’re working to get the Road to Northrend brawl back up and running soon”. Let’s hope Blizzard manages to rectify the problem soon and that it doesn’t have an effect on the new Galakrond’s Awakening expansion.
